Andy Carroll In Danger Yo !

So far he's refused to bow to some Icelandic cunt's ridiculous wage demands, effectively told Carroll to go and fuck himself, and is after Joe Allen.

I'd bareback him at this fucking stage Larry.
...and he's from Northern Ireland...

we are saying back the manager but this move does not make sense. Some rags (could be bollox I know) are saying we are holding out for £17 million.

That's less than fucking half of what we paid. If he stays with us and plays well we could sell him next season when he is a regular England man and would go for closer to what we paid.

Getting rid of him now when we are desperate for goals throughout the team is fucking simply madness.

Let's face it he probably has to go now as we have once again done our dirty work in public, the guy's confidence which was sky high will now be in the dirt as the new manager has publicy humiliated him

I bet Kenny is not impressed

At 22 or 23, were there much to show from them 2? Just wondering.
zlatan has always had it not sure about drogba. but you can tell that Carroll will more become a crouch than a drogba. Carroll has and always will be lacking in mobility and lacking in football intelligence. he'll improve in other areas like heading, strength and finishing maybe.

You're mental Fox.

maybe fella, do you really think selling Carroll for less than half what we paid when he just hit form is a good thing?

Have we forgotten why we struggled last year, lack of goals. Then we sell Kuyt, Maxi and Carroll and so far replace him with a bloke chelsea did not want.

Where are our goals coming from, Rogers better have a bloody good plan up his sleeve

Chelsea lost him Fox, it wasn't that they didn't want him, they were paid compensation. You're being a bit daft over this, the reason we struggled was a lack of goals, Carroll scored what, 4?

I honestly almost agree with Fox.
If the manager doesnt want a player he has every right to let him go regardless of the expense. However that stupid fucking press conference was a joke.

Rodgers is boss. I like everything about him. He gets everything that Liverpool is. That's impressive in itself. Much like Kenny did, its the club first in all that you do. So I'll trust him in whatever he does and the decisions he makes even though I may not necessarily agree. Unity is strength.

I'm just worried mate, Carroll only scored 4 yes but they were all in the last month probably. In the Euro's he looked great and now we sell him, selling a player when he is on form and playing well is mad.

I hope I will say on here in a month or two time Rogers was right and we bought goals elsewhere.

If Carroll scores more goals than any of our strikers this season and Newcastle finish above us this will haunt us.

On the other side we score shit loads and finish in the top 4 playing beautiful footy and I'm a prick

Nah, it's ego with the lot of them. If it was club first Dalglish would have found room in the team for Maxi over the wank he'd bought. They all end up trying to prove everyone else wrong one way or other.

Correct

Each manager lives and dies by their decisions. Sadly, most decide to trust in the wank they buy

Hard to argue that Kenny bought wank players and tried to justify his decision to play them ahead of more effective players. Its equally hard to argue that he hasn't put Liverpool first even if his decisions were miguided.

There are exceptions. I'm not saying that Benitez was perfect, but when he took over he brought Josemi with him and If I'm not mistaken he was our first choice until he started fucking up early on.
It seemed as if Rafa didn't rate Finnan at first.

"I bet Kenny is not impressed"

BAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHhhH

Who gives a FUCK what Dalglish thinks? It's his fucking fault we're having to offload Geordie fucking Shore for half what we paid for him.

Damn skippy.

This situation is ridiculous, and I think that whether he wants rid of Carroll or not, Rodgers has completely mishandled this. Yet again, we're going to get fucked on this transfer, and all the worse because of the manager's decision to let the world know there is no room for this player in his plans. Fair enough that he feels that way, but it puts us in a terribly weak negotiating decision. A bit of naivety, or so it seems to me.

Naivety and ego.

Look at me, I'm the boss now... I'll do what I want. - I bet the lizards are fucking screaming at him now.

How has he mishandled this? By being honest with the player? Weak negotiating position how? Carroll has a lengthy contract with us. We don't have to settle for less than what we want.

Do you really think keeping him and playing him in a team that requires a far different skill set from it's players than Carroll possesses is a good thing ?

I don't know if Carroll can change his game to suit what Rodgers has in mind, but if he can't we're better getting shot now so that his value doesn't drop further after a season on the bench, as well as there being the potential for him to be a disruptive influence if his confidence plummets.

not really. we have set our price, if clubs don't meet it he stays its as simple as that. we unfortunately did the same with alonso and he went on to have his best season ever. city did the same with tevez. its not like Carroll is near the end of his contract.

I'm not sure how well he could have handled it. How do you let the World know you want to sell, without saying you want to sell? The end result would have been the same, if we told clubs privately, it would have got out, and then there would have been questions anyway. What do we say? No we don't want to sell? At least this way we've (hopefully) generated interest from a few clubs and hopefully we can wage a bidding war. Despite how much we're inevitably going to be stung on the deal, the main bargaining point is that we paid £35m, so we're justified in refusing to accept anything less than half that. We only signed him 18 months ago.

It's incompetence.

Now that may not be his fault, it is mad to assume that someone who has spent 20 years becoming one of the best coaches in the game would be good at business as well. But he certainly shouldn't be allowed to make these kinds of mistakes. He should have a DoF.

Yes he may stay but can you seriously see Andy wanting to knuckle down after rodgers has publicly humiliated like this. All that will happen is Andy will not want to give a fuck go back to his old ways and we sit and watch as his value plummets further. We don't hold the cards here now.
