Andy Carroll In Danger Yo !

To clarify. Sky and the Beeb (and the rest) are saying that Andy Carroll WILL NOT be going on the US tour. Not that he isnt there now. But that he will not be joining the squad next week.
Its done lads.
Hes going back to Newcastle.

NE correspondent on talksport (some guy who knows Carroll well apparently) about 30 mins ago said that Carroll has been taken out of the tour squad (previously was named) and has made clear he'd like to return to Newcastle.

He also stated that a fair chunk of the original fee is still outstanding to Newcastle so Tyneside his most likely destination anyway and that Carroll is on 70k a week at the moment.

Things supposedly moving quickly and clear that Rodgers wishes to move him on.

One of the reasons that Comolli was slammed over this transfer was because he supposedly agreed to Newcastle's demand for the fee to be paid in full.

I think we are going to see quite a bit of movement this next 3 weeks. Which worries me as we are going to go into the season half cooked.
Still think Downing, Carroll, Adam, Aquilani, Jones and possibly one of the CBs may leave.
Walcott, Dempsey, Sturridge, Johnson, Allen etc still on the cards.
This could be a messy August/September for us.

There was actually a rumour that we had to pay an extra £100K because we were a day late making the payment.

Yeah, that's right, Ba's bollocks. Maybe we should be looking at players who scored more than him last year. Van Persie, Aguero or Rooney?

Take the money, fuck loans, fuck half arsed players. Buy someone who will excite us, throw him upfront with Suarez and Borini and tear the Premiership a new arse.

I've got a semi on for Ba.

No one will touch him for anything remotely over the odds because he's got a dodgy injury. He is impressive though, not sure whether he's what we need though, not if it's just a bargaining chip. I'd rather take the £17m and buy someone else.

Looking more and more obvious he's on his way now. It's a shame but not surprising. The lads got talent its just a shame he showed far too little of it.

Not surprising? I'm still stunned by all this.

Rodgers didn't buy him i know but the last thing i thought he'd do is get rid of a player the owners invested(albeit it was £ from the Torres sale)£35m in only 18 months ago, who has looked more confident and comfortable in a Liverpool shirt, is still only 23 and has so much more to give.
Not to mention the strong possibility we're giving him away to a team that finished above us last season.
I'm sorry but i don't see anything good to come from this. He deserved another season.

Last year nearly everyone wanted shot of him - moaning posts and videos of horses, etc.
Now that there is a chance of him leaving most are crying on their blouses and taking it out on Rodgers.
Which it is? FFS.

I wish we'd get a manager who didn't want to make the first few weeks all about their fucking ego.

Things change in football so quickly. It's an emotional game, he's shit one week, he's great the next - that's just the way it is.

I don't think the biggest Andy Carroll critic would have expected him to be sold this summer. Maybe January if he wasn't doing it, but now? It doesn't make much sense.

This Lee Ryder is supposed to have very sound connections to Newcastle (according to several on rawk) and he's said otherwise.

Is it about your ego when you try to build and introduce your football philosophy to a new club?

woland is talking shite. carroll is not the right player for rodgers and i'm made up he has the balls to stick to his vision.

Should Carroll have gone on tour today when he's not scheduled to join the group until next week?
No, but that's not what's been reported.

He's going Peter. I said it the moment I saw the press conference. It was written all over Rodgers' face and in his non-verbals, and has looked more likely with every passing moment since.

I didn't expect him to be sold, but I did want it to happen. I've been saying consistently for months that we should just cut our losses on him, even after his little patch of form at the end of the season. I'm impressed we're actually going through with it, although I wish we'd clear out Johnson as well.
