Has Mourinho ever done it before getting to know and gaining the trust of the player first?
I think that might be important, if I had yet to even train under a new boss and he already appeared critical of me I'm not sure how I'd react

Porto -Postiga
Chelsea - Joe Cole
Inter - Ballotelli
Real Madrid - benzema

Yep will still be here, I think Brendan has been slightly caught out with his own philosophy of straight talking back when this was first raised, and has kept it up.
Don't think he really wants him to leave, just was honest to say if the right offer come in, he would sold, just like any other player?

I would have said yes but after just reading this quote from BR on the bbc news I am saying no

Andy will be the same as every other player - if there's ever an offer that comes in we'd look at it as a club and see if it's going to be worthwhile for the club and the "team as a whole.
"The club invested £35m in him. People talk about whether he can fit into my style or not, but if you're a club and you spend £35m on a player you'd like to think he can fit into whatever style the team plays.
"He's a good player. He'll join the rest of the group next week and we'll take it from there."

There's nothing in that, that says to me that we will definitely sell. He's open to offers, like he is with every player, which is the right way to look at things.

To me it says, if the right offer comes in, we;'ll sell. I'm guessing we won't get the right offer though.

He will look like a Moai compared to the rest of the players running about. I would rather he left but I don't know whether he will, Brendan Rodgers isn't stupid, he'll do what's best for the club. Funny how the majority of people believed he was going on loan, even though there was no substance or quotes from Brendan or the club to suggest this. Yet Brendan was getting it in the neck from all sides. Don't believe the rags...
