It's their midfield. Seriously Fletcher and Cleverly aren't good enough to start for a team challenging for a top 4 position.
I bet we'll see a much improved Scum side when Carrick and Herrera are starting.

With Spurs off to a fast start as well as the other regulars, you wonder if this will come back to haunt them at the end of the season.

Their entire fucking team is average, they don't have a player that'd get into the city first 11 and maybe not chelski's either.
Their 'best' players are utterly hit and miss, yes on their day they're great, but that day isn't every week. This is rooney/rvp/mata/teen wolf. The rest of them are bobbins.
They've now gone and panic bought a player that has one decent season, for 3-4 times what he's worth, for a position that isn't exactly urgent for them. The NEED a couple of dominant CB's and dominant CM.

They go away to Burnley next week, who are still looking for their first point in the Premier League. I hope the hosts are fired up to get their first points and can serve up another banana skin there for these guys.

Headline re todays game for them on sky sports is 'united claim draw at sunderland'?!?! That impressive for them these days, claiming draws at sunderland? 2yrs ago it'd have been headlined as a disaster. Press seem to have given them quite an easy ride last season (as hodgson gets) and this season it seems.

Great start to the day even if Spurs had a walk in the park. Louis van Fail will need some new tactical innovations if he wants to avoid being Moyesed.

Posted this elsewhere but I guess it's better here.

United : This slow start is brilliant considering who they have played and that most commentators thought they'd have 12-15 points after 5 games. They looked utter toss again today. However they are going to improve fast after Burnley and if they make more signings (as expected) then this could be their team very shortly (and I'd expect a change to 4-3-3) :

De Gea, Shaw, Rojo, Evans, Rafael, Herrera, De Jong, Di Maria, RvP, Mata and Rooney.

Much improved though still not brilliant.

Love the commentator's comments on Barca vs Elche (just kicked off) as a Black Cat runs across the pitch, this way and that and won't leave !

"Does no-one have a shotgun" ?!

Then when one of the ball boys eventually catches it but looks like he accidentally drops it in the tunnel ...

"Well either he released it or was attempting to drop kick it .........." HAHAHAHA !

We were shocking and you couldn't even say Sunderland played well just that we played brutal. If I'm honest by the end of the game I was happy with 1 point.

The worst part of our game was the attack we looked completely toothless and bereft of ideas.

Midfield is a joke and another CM is an absolute post making the current pairing 4th and 5th choice respectively.

It is definitely going to take some time and money to get us playing winning football again. Never expected us to get top 4 this season, as my prediction was 5th IF we sign a CM. Definitely think we will be big spenders at the tail end of this transfer window. 3 players including Di Maria seem to be the rumours. Didnt see the post match but LVG named dropped Vidal again, not my first choice (Strootman) but definitely the calibre of player needed to shore the middle up

Thank god for the international break!
