Mystic, no it isn't, it's 17 (as I and Outlaw have posted) in 63/65 (different counts on different sites).
It is a good return for a 'winger' but as I've said I'd expect the raw 17 year old we've currently got to get a similar return if he started that many games. £10M is a central striker, not a wing forward who has always cried about being played there and wants £80k a week.
However the general opinion of him does seemed to have improved somewhat since we were linked with him. Just saying.
Always been a fan.
You think Sterling would get 17 goals and 15 assists in 65 premier league games?
You do realise thats better than Young and Bale and on a par with Nani. So you think our 17 year old kid who's started one league game would do better than the best wingers in the league?
Even when he was cack ?
I said nothing about assists Mystic, partly because unless they're from Opta I don't trust 3rd party websites to attribute them accurately.

And really, Young has done about as much as Downing since his £20M move, are we now labeling him as one of the best in the league? For what?
He's scored the same amount of goals as Nani and Dyer,he's scored more than Bale, Valencia, Mata, Lennon, Young, Sinclair. I can't think of any more but name me the best wingers in the league then, i'm pretty sure he's as good if not better than them for goals scored. To think Sterling is going to come in and match that is frankly ridiculous.

And you trust Opta ? I've watched matches then seen their stats - which were provably completely inaccurate. I have no idea who maintains their records but they are only also only human.
Part of reason arse are happy to get rid is they have the Ox as back up and may be a better player. Though theo stats are Impressive.
Only worry is if he would theo hinder the progress of sterling
How much of some of these players do you watch? Because I thought we were talking about a player of Walcott's ability, and I rate him higher than half the list?
3 of those players have only had 1 year in the prem, and 2 are clearly fringe players. Out of the other 3, yes I believe that Sterling could top Lennon or Bale for goals, given the same games. Why's that so hard to believe? He get's into very dangerous positions, has himself decent pace and knows how to hit the ball. Have a look at some of his goals, you'll see he knows how to score.
We're talking stats here, nothing else, and does it matter if they aren't as good as Walcott? I've given you a list of the best wingers in the league and Walcott has bettered all but one of them, provide me another name if you want and it'll probably be a similar outcome, yet you seem to think our 17 year old prospect who hasn't scored a competitive goal for the first team yet will come in and match that total, in the hardest league on the planet, essentially making him one of the best wingers in the league, you're living in cloud cuckoo land.
When 1 of the players you list has scored no more than 3 league goals in the last 3 years, and another one is not much ahead of him, then it matters if we are going to be comparing to somebody who has scored 7 and 8 respectively.
Out of your initial list, the best winger at this time is Nani. I would put Walcott and Scott Sinclair on a similar level right now, with Bale just behind them. Those 3 players all/will score around 6-9 goals over 35ish league games, based on the last few years evidence (Sinclair was one in 2 in the championship, so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt). So the actual question is do I believe Sterling, who I was initially just considering against Walcott given his development at this age, could come in soon and match that tally (7/8) over a season?........You're God Damn Right I Do!
Walcott sounds like he wants more money/playing time. Little bit greedy seeing as he's pretty much just been a sub.
It also might be Wengers way of moving on a player thats not really lived up to all the hype, without looking like a fool.
