The guy is 6'4, has speed plus technically gifted... He is everything Naby should have been. If we get him he will be ace. But we need one more, in the form of Viega. we will press far better up front with him, and with Bobby gone Fab C going we need a player who can attack from MF.

We’re is Viega playing again - is he or Thuram a DM?

Veiga is very much an AM. Thuram has been playing as more of an 8 this season but I’d imagine we’re thinking of him as a 6 alongside Trent stepping forward.

Two midfielders?? In june?? Looking forward to Klopps big silly grin that he can’t hide when he gets new toys he likes.

I wonder is the plan to persist with Fabinho in dm surrounded by legs and rotate badger in as needed. Risky though as Fabs looked done but it’s amazing what confidence can do.

I think it'll be Fab - Thuram - AlexiMac

Klopp stuck by him even at his lowest last season and clearly Klopp thinks he still has quality to give, on the ball perhaps he'll rarely give it away and pings it around nicely but off the ball he's completely past it.

Or maybe we see Fab in a back 3 with Ibou and Virgil and a midfield of Thuram - AlexiMac - Veiga

So we rock with Fab Hendo and AlexiMac until Christmas do we? That’s assuring isn’t it?

Assuring…maybe not. But, we will see Bajetic, Elliott and Jones more than Thuram, who I think will be a superstar. It will just take time.

I think we’re going for Thuram or Viega - unless we reckon Thuram can play in the DM role or we’ve found a buyer for Thiago.

Kone link gone cold?

It looks very much like the long term Thiago & Hendo replacements with Jones & Elliot as younger additional backup.

It really depends on whether Fabs last season was a blip and a symptom of other issues or the new norm for him.

Fabs is 29 - he shouldn’t be ready for the knackers yard just yet - pace has never be a part of his game - although it would need to be to play in defence.

Thuram will destroy everyone in his path, I want him to kill them all - City, United, etc..

Also I think Mac10 will be a superstar in our side.

@binomial - that Pearce guy was in a clip on Redmen, and in that clip he was talking about possibly a third midfielder - so kind of backtracking, but what upset me was that he was talking about the abuse he gets, but never once mentioned that there people on forums who want to stick their left and right nuts into his face - not even a mention of me or this forum. I thought this forum was one of the goto places for Liverpool news. Just don't get it.

So this one feels like it's happening?

Any good or nah ?
I think so yeah, like Tomas said he does remind of a young Pogba in his Juve days....there's a lot to like about him.

Both him and AlexiMac will give us something vastly different in midfield to what we've seen in the last 4-5 years.

I wonder if his and Fab's paths ever crossed back at Monaco?

I like Thuram, but doubt we will see him starting in Prem until Christmas time, unless we have injuries.
Haha Jesus. Fuck me. Pay £50m to leave an newly made French international on the bench for half a season behind two unproven youngsters. Sounds about right.

We know who the targets are, Thuram, Viega, Kone and Gravenberch, and in that order. If Klopp can get two out of those 4, we have a very good MF. Thiago is in the last year of his contract, so he should be a peripheral part of the squad anyway, especially with his injury issues. Getting a total of two MFs this window will leave us short, mark my words.

How much did we pay for Fabs to leave on the bench for half a season?

And, how is Thuram more proven that Jones, Elliott and Bajetic? He’s played for a mid-table French team in the 5th best league. No premiership or European experience.

And, I really like him and want us to buy him, but Klopp will give him time. “We bought him for the next ten years, not just for right now.”

Half a season? Bit dramatic. A little research wouldv'e told you he started and complete 80+ mins in 31 games in all comps.

It took him 3 months before he became a regular, bit like Robbo.

Elliott/Bajcetic/Jones haven't really proven a thing.....Bajcetic has played a dozen or so games, Elliott has looked out of place is most the games he's played and Jones has been around for 4-5 years and never really laid down a marker until the last 2 months of this season.

Don't forget this is a Nice side that Thuram help finish 5th twice in the last 4 seasons. He was instantly come into this side and improve us.
