Actually that last 5 mins was probably his best of the match - but he shouldn't have still been there. We needed guile and Mo. couldn't keep hold of the ball long enough to do anything. I'd have given Cheesie that last 10-15 mins.

Our massive problem is we're losing a lot of 1 v 1 battles in the wide positions these days. We used to dominant in 3 of the 4 wide positions.

Robbo used to be dominant. Now he gets beat by any pace merchant. Looks terrified to defend 1 v 1.
Salah used to be dominant. Now he can barely beat anyone with raw pace. Has to try and dribble around them (or hope they switch off) and it's 50-50 if he does.
Mane used to be super dominant. Now we have Gakpo who can't beat a pacey defender. Again, hast to dry and dribble around them, and it's 50-50 if he does.
TAA has never been good 1 v 1, but that was ok because we dominated the other 3 battles. Still gets dominated by anyone in 1v1 battles.

So we're not really dominant in any of the 4 wide positions any more. This needs to be addressed.

A quick fix is buying a super dominant LB in 1 v 1, so at least we can win the left side again. And/or we need to be super good playing the ball centrally, which means upgrading Nunez, the AM and/or an alternative to Macca/Gravy.

Honestly it doesn't matter, I'd rather see him pass someone in the box and see what happens than see Salah take weak left footed shots that winds up in the crowd.

First half poor. Second half much better. Could easily have been three goals second half.
Yeh it was frustrating, but Slot made changes and they worked. Another day one of those chances would have gone in and nobody would be bothered.

Still seven clear of Arsenal. Seven. City and Chelsea throw away leads.

I feel very bad we didn't win that. We deserved it in the end - despite a few players having an off day (month).

However I feel a bit better looking at the table (and the games are ticking down):

6 pts ahead of Forest (we have a game in hand). They won't stay up there anyway.
7 pts ahead of Arsenal (same games played - praying they slip up tomorrow).
10 pts ahead of Chelsea (we have a game in hand).
12 pts ahead of City (we have a game in hand).

It was clear that we missed a striker today. The first thing Jota did after scoring was go at their defenders.
