I disagree. Gakpo was the only one of the front 3 doing his fucking job. Cutting in, looking for the cross...but where's Diaz? Oh, on the left wing with me. Where's Salah? Oh, on the edge of the box with szob.

Gakpo was infinitely more involved and consistent than any of the attack
 
Everyone just looks leggy at the minute and it makes it easy to play against. If Slot feels he has to careful with Jota and Konate, he's not seeing the players he is burning out in the meantime. Endo and one or two others need game time now. As we've already said though, we need a defender or two, a midfielder and an attacker.

Grav was excellent again tonight, but he needs help.
 
I really think that some of you should read back over this (and other recent) match thread, and ask yourselves if you're going a bit OTT with some of the venom that you throw at this team, when everything isn't going perfectly...

Have a little perspective, lads, for Christ's sake. Yes, we could be farther ahead than we are, but things are soooooooo much better than we had the right to expect in July, so fucking calm down a little, will yiz?

We're going through our blip right now, and we're still 7 clear of the arse (and I've lost track of where the chavs and the cheats are at this point), and still some of you act like the players are torturing your children, when they fuck up - They're not trying to, FFS.

(Except for Trent... He can still leave tomorrow. 😉 )

You know that was very bad - how many fucking draws can we affford ? This is also how you lose titles, thats how we have done it in the past...i.e lose titles. The only thing good that Ibliked about this...is Slot is very gutsy, he is more than willing to play with just one full time defender !!!!

Nah, in game is a different beast to outside of the game. At that moment you know what the players are capable of and (rightly or wrongly) call them shit eating cunts for errors.

Post game is where the rationality comes in to it

No way. What job? Infinitely ? He did nothing. No shots , no chances created. Like to see the stats but saw nothing.

We needed someone to pick a lock tonight, and Elliott is there twiddling his thumbs
 
We need a new #10. Szobo and Jones are useless.
We need full backs. Robbo and Trent are useless.
We need a new DM. Grav isn't going to keep up being the star all season and Mac turns in mostly average performances.
We need to stop playing Diaz as the CF, he's fucking terrible there.

We got what we deserved tonight. 65mins before we did anything of note......and it came from a fucking corner ffs.

A slogfest to the finish line.

Hughes will cost us the title.

I mean, he very clearly made sels do a worldy save at the end. And was on the ball a lot creating opportunities.
 
We should have won that. Chances galore.

First Half FC yet again gave Second Half FC too much to do. We started switched off. The players weren’t thinking, they were nonchalant in every pass in the final third. The players took wild swings at the ball. What the hell was that.

After Jota & Tsimi came on we were much improved, but that was also due to Grav moving to CB and us going full throttle.

This needs to change from Slot. We have a whole squad to choose from, start quick and use subs.

Also can we stop the Diaz at 9 stuff now. He was wank.

Horrible? He put in the best cross of the night (unlucky Szobo to head it against a defender that had no idea what had happened) and only another Sels super save stopped him scoring. Now what did Mo do ? Remind me again? And no I don't give a fuck about what he's done, what did he do tonight ? Anything? I bet he missed the urinal too. Fucking straw-man argument.

I know people have ago at Jones holding onto the ball too long but fuck me Diaz must hold the record for that.
 
Admittedly, i didnt see the 1st half, which i believe was poor, but we battered them 2nd half, and were extremely unlucky to not win (again). I think thats 3 in a row where the opposition are a bit fortunate. Life's like that sometimes and we'll get our just reward most of the time from now on.

It's a tricky fixture, away from home out of the way, in which we showed ourselves to be much the stronger side, even with a couple not performing.

We are well ahead still and no one is playing as well as we are, even if we know we can be better. We've only been beaten once all season in the league.

Stay calm and positive comrades!

Yeah one shot. Salah also had one shot off the line, honestly don't get the polarised hate compared with an ineffective strike force today. It's like arguing about whom was worse.
