I said Monday but let’s give the people what they want.

Tricky fixture to assess. PSG are the only team in Europe performing better than us, they’ve been prolific since getting the Georgian in. However they’ve not had any hard opponents in this spell and facing us should be a shock to the system.

I think the only question mark for us is the front three. I could see Slot trying both Szob and Jones away from home but kinda hoping we get Gakpo back in and ‘usual’ 4231

Alisson

Trent
Konate
Virgil
Robbo

Gravenberch
Macca
Szobo

Salah
Jota
Gakpo

Save Diaz and Jones for tired legs.

I think Slot wanted to "throttle" Man C's midfield and force them to the wings. Slot trusted Konate and Gravy to close down Doku.
I don't think that was a dress rehearsal for the PSG game.
PSG are most dangerous on the wings. Which also means you can hurt them on wings.
Hakimi, Mendes, Barcola, Dembele and Kvara are all very attacking players.

The Reds are also facing a mounting disciplinary issue, with Ibrahima Konate, Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott all one yellow card away from a one-game suspension in the Champions League having been cautioned twice in the competition, meaning they would miss the Anfield second leg if they were booked in Paris.

In addition, Alexis Mac Allister, who has already served a one-game ban in the league phase, is at risk of another suspension. The Argentina international has been shown the yellow card four times in this season's competition.

Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Luis Diaz, Kostas Tsimikas and Darwin Nunez have all received one booking in the Champions League this season, so would face a ban if they get two more bookings before the quarter-finals end.

I think he'll look to hit PSG on the break with Jota, Salah and Diaz and also Szobo supporting. That said, Gapko is back and needs games. Tough one to call when you have all your players available! Diaz is in a good spell of form too, so we have to factor that in.

Robbo and Trent worry me. Start with Tsimi on the left and Robbo in the last 20 mins. If we play the highline and Trent decides to go walkies at the wrong time we are in trouble

Man for man these lot probably are the most technically gifted side we'll play this season and bar Bayern probably the most technically gifted side in Europe.

Watched the first half of the Lille game and they were tremendous, really did a number on them......you could say they've hit form at the wrong time for us but make no mistake about it......we're no Lille, and we're certainly no Brest.

I don't think we can outplay them, certainly not at the Parc des princes but what we are capable of is overmatching their work rate....use that to come away with a draw and we've got 1 foot in the quarters.

Genuinely would contemplate Kostas at RB here. Not sure he's done much wrong to warrant being dropped.

I’d play anyone at rb except Trent. If gets injured, the run in suddenly looks very different. Of course he will play, but it’s against my wishes.

If we aren't going to play him in the first leg of a CL knock out whilst 13 points ahead, to avoid the risk of injury... then when is it safe to play him?!

I’m not sure how this will play out. I don’t think Slot will want an end-to-end, attack-versus-attack encounter, which it could easily become. I wouldn’t be surprised if we start without a striker for the away leg, using Szobo and Salah as the outlet, and then look to hit them on the counter with Jota or Núñez coming off the bench against tired legs.

I’m still frustrated that we finished first and ended up drawing such a strong team, but it is what it is. Hopefully, the game isn’t as exciting for the neutrals as they’re all hoping. Ideally, we’ll control both legs in different ways, and brush them aside.

I’m kidding mate. Of course we’re gonna play him.
I’ll feel less worried about injuries once Connor is back. Whenever that may be.

Injuries are the only thing that can derail the league push. We’re fairly well stocked across the pitch but RB looks thin. Unless Quansah plays there is we get an injury.
