Slot saying we have 3 cup finals coming up.
Regarding rotation on Saturday:

"If I make the choice to play other players, that is because I think that's the biggest chance to win the game tomorrow [Southampton], and not because I want to rest them for the game against PSG.

So the only way I make a change is because maybe it's only 2 days in between, and then I might feel that playing someone else is a better option because we have many players that are of equal quality.

But that then only has to do with us getting a bigger chance of winning the game against Southampton, than it has anything to do with the PSG game"

-----------------Allison---------------
Trent---Quansah----VVD----Tsimikas----
------------------Endo-------------------
---------Szobo-----------Jones-----------
---Salah---------Nunez------------Diaz---

I'd like to see something like this, with Chiesa and Elliott making early appearances off the bench, but Slot will likely rotate less. If Gakpo and Bradley are back too then it'd be nice to see them off the bench.

It's fucking Southampton at home ffs, the worst side the Prem has seen in the 21st century. Just play Rio if needs be, we're winning this at least 7-0 anyway.

Nunez has to play, surely?

---------------Alisson---------------
Trent---Konate---VVD---Tsimikas-
----------------Endo---------------
--------Jones--------Macca-------
--Salah------Nunez-----Diaz----

There's probably a case for either Elliott or Quansah too, if we want to be careful with a few players.

I almost feel we need to play Jota in this as there is no better game to find his scoring form. Then we should deploy the dual #10 system against PSG with both Jones and Szob - which means that is where Jota gets a rest.

Endo and Elliott have earned a start

Arne Slot could not have wished for a more palatable fixture at this juncture than a home match against Southampton before a huge week featuring the Champions League last-16 second leg against Paris Saint-Germain and the Carabao Cup final. What should be a routine win against a team averaging a woeful 0.33 points per match this season is an ideal opportunity to rest limbs. Slot’s substitutes in ParisHarvey Elliott, Wataru Endo, Darwin Núñez and Curtis Jones – all had a positive impact. The players they replaced – Mohamed Salah, Ryan Gravenberch, Diogo Jota and Luis Díaz – struggled against the pace and movement of the French champions. Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai in particular need to recharge. This could be the moment for Slot to reward Endo and Elliott with their first league starts of the campaign. Andy Hunter

You never learn do you? I've heard this kind of talk before. Gordon out, Hall out, Botman out. Let's all rejoice!
Then Gerrard slips and we gift City the title.
Going back to one moment 11 years ago is pretty extreme (& strange) lol.

How about....& hear me out here, Botman out. Joelinton out, Isak out. Rejoice!! Then play them off the park for 90 mins and stroll to victory.

Or how about Dias, Akanki and Stones out. Haaland out. Rejoice!! Then fuck them right up their plastic arses.

Well if Joelinton is out then it's a completely different story

He was for the league game and we could take advantage, that's what I'm saying.

This time it happens to be Hall, so it gives us that same advantage if we choose to take it....so yes, rejoicing is the natural response to that.

Hall can be replaced with Trippier or Livramento. Not a big deal.

Trippier in at RB and Livra moving over? It can be if we take advantage as it would still disrupt their back line from the norm, plus seeing Hall having Mo's number the majority of the time the last time out.....

I'd always put a right footed player on Salah. We know he's going to cut inside with his left.

So why do you think it almost never happens?

All those years of Messi cutting inside, knowing he was going to do it....wonder why no manager ever thought to do that.
