Pre Match Pre Match - Fulham (A) - Sun 14:00

Last game of our season with a short turnaround. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the team that started Everton here although I’d 100% get Gakpo on and back up to speed. Possibly even Elliot against his old club for Szobs but we know that won’t happen.

Kelleher - if Ali needs time what’s one more game

Jones
Konate
Virgil
Robbo

Gravy
Macca
Szobo

Salah
Jota
Gakpo

Fulham have been off colour since the break. FA cup heartbreak and defeat at Arsenal. Let’s pile on the misery, feels like a team you don’t want to let settle into a game so ideally we don’t keep on doing our crap first halves.

I think Ali will be back and maybe it's one game too early for Bradley. Jones was excellent at RB - has he displaced Quansah? In games where we are expected to dominate then yes until Bradders is back. Tsimi to start and Robbo can come on - or vice versa.

------------------------------- Ali

Jones ----------- Konate ---------- VvD ------------ Tsimikas

----------------------------- Gravy

--------------------------------------- Macca

------------------ Szobo

Salah ----------------------- Jota -------------------- Gakpo

Our right back could be up against Robinson and Adama/Iwobi. Might want a bit more defensive ability. But Curtis deserve to start in all honesty.

I’d be happy with Quansah at RB and jones in AM as Szob wasn’t on it yesterday

Based on performances alone, I'd probably go the same team again unless Ali is back with Gakpo and Tsimi as early subs and hopefully Bradley maybe getting some minutes. I feel Jones and Diaz deserve to keep their places and have the fitness to go again. I'm not overly arsed by the line-up, it's much for a muchness.

I did catch the Arse-Fulham highlights. Both teams looked well off it, Fulham didn't create anything until the final ten minutes in which they missed a sitter from 4 yards and scraped him a consolation goal. Muniz can be handful off the bench, so VVD and Konate need to drop their circus performance against physical strikers.

Agree about Quansah. I'd keep Szobo on as the match against Fulham will be completely different in terms of attacking space and we need his running off the ball defensively/pressing.

Ali back in is almost a certainty. Ideally Bradley to start if he's deemed fit enough with Jones switching as the most advanced midfielder.

On paper this is a very tricky game, then again that was supposed to be the case there last season and it proved to be a very comfortable afternoon.

Kinda glad Wilson will be missing for them, that fucker always seems to up his game against us.

I still would like to see Szobo at RB rather than Jones, but I guess Slot will stick with what worked. Diaz will surely start again after that performance - Gakpo will need to show something amazing to get back in the starting 11.

Jones did give a very professional display in an unfamiliar role last night but I expect Fulham to test us more out wide than the bluesh!te did, so I'd prefer to see Bradley or Quansah there. That said, I'd accept Jones too.

Yes but not the regular channels. So no chance that you'll be able to see the Fulham game in your hotel. I'd invite you to come watch it with me but I unfortunately have guests over this weekend. Your best chance is to stream it. I'll hook you up.

Ah no - dont' worry mate but appreciate the offer. I was just asking in case we are in the hotel at the time - but most likely we will be out anyway.

But can I ask is it on satellite channels in Sweden ? - I might get to see it in the hotel bar if I can get away from wife and kids.

It's on Viaplay Football and Viaplay Ultra. I highly doubt that they have a Viaplay subscription package.
No clue about satellite channels.

If Jones gets a game at RB - then I’m starting to think we’ll cash in on Quansah along with Harvey in the summer.

No point keeping them if they can’t get a game.

Beginning to think Slot isn’t about being through youth at all… unless it’s youths he signed.

Harvey definitely (unfortunately) but not Quansah. I wouldn't use playing Jones over him at RB as proof that he doesn't rate him. Maybe he just wanted a more attacking player at RB.

Slot just isn't much of a risk taker which is quite obvious looking at how many minutes certain players in the squad have played.
There's about 14-15 players he trusts. Some like Nunez are being played because Slot doesn't have any other options.

However, others like Chiesa, Endo and Harvey, are clearly being mistreated.

I mean seriously, he brought Endo on in added time for Salah.
Klopp started Endo for almost an entire season and we did better in every competition except the league. How did he go to completely useless in one season?

Also Tsimikas was liked by Slot for a while and now he's in the freezer with the three I mentioned earlier.

I think he likes youth if it's the required quality. Klopp didn't exactly like youth either until he had an injury crisis. After his team was settled at least.

I prefer slot not keeping youth players round for years if he doesn't have a plan for them. I'm sick of players "doing a job". We're meant to be an elite outfit; start getting some elite young players in

Come to think of it, Trent only got his chance after Clyne was out for the season.

I will be driving during this game now, so hoping I win the battle to have this on the radio vs. some feminist podcast
