Completely agree.

Special fried rice with curry sauce and salt and pepper chicken wings are a banger combo.

I had a vivid dream last night that I was on a bike ride, on a hill I used to cycle down (and sometimes up) when I was a kid. I was with Modo & DB ... I'm really worried what this means. Can anyone interpret?

PS I hasten to clarify there was no homo eroticism in this dream and I didn't even have a plassie when I woke up. Thought it important to stress that, given the cesspit mind of this forum.

You and your friends have been targeted by a malevolent alien entity FSG, who manifests in corporeal form as two guys in suits, Pennywise and Poundfoolish.

The rest is a bit hazy but at some point the three of you need to have sex in the sewers, if you still want to live.

Damn you really are a dirty slot

Good news for the run in, but Chiesa has looked dangerous every time he's been on the pitch. If we're in a situation where we need a goal, I'd like him to be one of those we get on the pitch.
Well with Danns going on loan, there shouldn't be much danger of that. I think he will always have in his mind that in some games, at some point he might need 4 forwards on the pitch, and he'll change two of the three anyway, but yeah it's a difficult one. He has to just go with 3 forwards on the bench every time now and then the likes of Kelleher, Quansah, Bradley etc.

Hope so. Realistically, Chiesa isn’t going to challenge for a first-team spot this season. The best we can hope for is some impactful substitute appearances. That said, he shouldn’t be pigeonholed as an Origi (or now Nunez)-style impact player. He’s not displacing Salah anytime soon, but I still believe he has the ability to push an out-of-form Díaz or Gakpo out of the starting XI and also potentially cover the central areas. His ability with two feet and adaptability were important selling points.

This season has been frustrating for both him and us. It’s not as if he’s just come back from injury—he played over 30 games last year with a goal involvement rate of one in three so I struggle to believe the plan was for him to always to start playing football in January, as that recent article suggested. Chiesa could still find himself sidelined if the club invests in the forward line this summer, but it’s clear he needs a proper pre-season and a fresh start. There’s a chance his fitness issues and niggling injuries carry over into next season, but I think it’s fair to give any player two seasons to prove themselves. The fitness nerds seem to be doing a good job of keeping other players out of the medbay, which is cause for optimism. I would say the majority of our injuries have been impact related and unavoidable (Konate/Jota, etc), so I think we can manage him well enough.

The enthusiasm he showed to joining us was infectious and it's only been shown further in his recent interviews and celebrations, etc. Some important goals and assists will hopefully set him up for next season.

He's 27 years old. Let's be honest, this is his first and last season at LFC.
I've seen players come back from knee injuries and start games quicker than Chiesa who just missed a bloody pre-season.
Slot obviously doesn't rate him.

I really like Chiesa but he needs minutes.... I don't like this comp, the sooner its over the better. I would play Chiesa, and rest Salah. The game against Everton is more important

It feels like you needing to clarify the lack of an erection indicates there definitely was one!

See I think it's potentially a few reasons slot doesn't trust him, but also why it might not be a 1 season spell

1) yes, no pre season didn't help, but he's come back from a very long time out after being plagued with injuries. The hope is our medical team have been super cautious. There was a story the other day saying we bought him knowing it might be Jan before we could use him regularly. He's probably only now getting to grips with slots expectations and how to play with the others. Leading on to -

2) slot likes control and slot likes tactical stability. Rushing back chiesa, only for him to pick up a quick injury impacts the game plan and enforces a substitution that could have been avoided. The longer he's out, the longer it takes to get to grips with tactics, so another issue we have. Similar to how klopp didn't trust shaqiri, but in time I think slot will trust chiesa, as he gets more and more minutes and shows he's a slot player. I think he's shown he is in flashes, but now it's all about fitness.

3) I don't think the club would have invested in a 27 year old of low value, knowing he'd miss half the season, only to let him go a year later (unless we make a sizeable profit...but we won't)

Chiesa is 27 and has only scored 60 odd goals for his clubs in his whole career. Nunez nearly has that amount for us in two and a half years. We don't have many options, but if Nunez isn't the answer, neither is Chiesa. Hopefully we have someone lined up for the summer

Thanks for the analysis
