Match Thread Spurs (H) - Coca Cola Cup Semi - Thursday 20:00

Not for me. It’s Bradley all day long.

Trent is a magnificent footballer. He is right up there with Suarez in terms of ability albeit different ability.

The issue with Trent is he needs three players to cover so much extra to facilitate Trent to do what he does best. We won’t get that from Salah and it will have long term impacts on Konate and Gravenberch.

Bradley doesn’t need so much cover. Is no nonsense. He will also get better. Looking at the team as a whole unit Bradley gives stability, fire and still provides some drive, assists and goals.
Right on cue. Bradders assist.

Weirdly our most successful spell in the last half century coincides with Trents emergence into the team, so nah, that's bullshit mate.
Trents not the same player anymore. The youthful desire to run up and down the flank all day has gone. Converting him to a RB to fill a gap in the team would always lead to this. He seemingly doesn't like the defensive side of the game. When eh was trying to impress, he put the effort in. Now he doens't

I don't disagree with this, especially this season when it's all clearly affected him, but he's absolutely a player worth accommodating for, he's unplayable even when having just a good game.

That version of Trent and more crucially the style of play under Klopp where our full backs bombed on getting 10-15 assists a season are long long gone.

I’m not debating Trent was phenomenal in that team but that team and that Trent is lung gone.

All that matters is the here and now and it’s not even a close debate imo.

The only question over Bradley is injuries and if he can produce for 4-5 years consistently.

If he plays like he has tonight then that’s more than enough for this Slot team and it removes the biggest weakness we have otherwise, which is being attacked down our right.

Well, ultimately the debate is pointless, as by the looks of it, he wants to fuck off to madrid.

I'm elated we have a right back in the team who is raw, granted, but plays like he wants to play for us

Unfortunately no arguments here, we will be a considerable worse side without him though.
