Match Thread Spurs (H) - Coca Cola Cup Semi - Thursday 20:00

We'll absolutely lose some insane attacking potential, but it's not like we're just going to sit on our hands. I'd imagine we'll be after another RB, as well as some other creative players. What we might lose in 3-5 goals a season, we might gain in not conceding as many
I'm not convinced he costs us as much as people like to suggest, I'll never argue that watching him pull out a half arsed performance is rage inducing though. I definitely think it's worse this season because of the uncertainty, for all his immense talent, and occasion clutch performances, he's absolutely not a player who can shut it all out and perform despite the speculation. Whatever happens we'll be better off next season, but I think him signing and regaining his focus is the better option. We all agree, I'm sure, that the Trent we've seen this season, isn't what we want going forward.

I agree, it's difficult to stomach some of the performances this year solely because of the contract situation; but he's also put some of those performances in over the years when the contract wasn't an issue. ITs just more under a microscope now

This season that's slightly fair, but if he were to resign I'd expect him to go back to his usual self.
Why? Genuine question. What are you seeing that we're all missing..?

He's been swanning around like f@#$ing Zidane for 2 years now, making no effort at the back, but no longer making up for it often enough at the other end. I don't see that changing if we resign him and give him even more money...

What a buy Gakpo has been.
hes seemingly got a manager who knows how to play to his strengths. I think a lot fo the teething troubles initially were klopp trying to shoehorn him in to the false 9 role

Consistently playing him on the wing has let him build his confidence.

I do the salute like a twat on my sofa every time he scores, love that celebration. I know what it’s like to be Sherwood at that moment and rather enjoy it.

We also had 26 shots and 10 on target

I don't quite know why people get so fucking defensive when others dare suggest this team could be improved? Of course we could be more clinical
Every single team can improve and be more clinical. I and I’m sure some others take offence when people claim we are less clinical than everyone else and miss more chances and need more attackers to fix that supposed problem. It’s bullshit. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love Isak.

So you wouldn't replace Nunez with Isak? What are you arguing here? "Of course we can improve, doesn't mean we should"?

I love Trent, always have and always will. As a RB I will forgive him for anything (not Greenwood like) because when he is attacking, it is genuinely generational. It’s what football is about for me and he is scouse too.

Do you never get tired of being a pointless contrarian, Pat..? FFS, mate. You're as predictable as the feckin' sunrise.

But that's the point, mate - He NOT that talent when attacking any more. That's why he's not worth the defensive shite anymore. Surely you can see that?

Yes but what do you think about Ange?
