Match Thread Spurs (H) - Coca Cola Cup Semi - Thursday 20:00

Why? Genuine question. What are you seeing that we're all missing..?

He's been swanning around like f@#$ing Zidane for 2 years now, making no effort at the back, but no longer making up for it often enough at the other end. I don't see that changing if we resign him and give him even more money...
It's not what I've seen this season, it's the player he is, he hasn't suddenly become shit, he's always been an engima, the difference this season is that instead of defending the negatives, we are starting to turn on him because of the speculation, we've become the England fans we used to love to hate.

He's clearly unsettled by it all, he doesn't have the same mental fortitude of Virgil or Salah, not many do, and then when you add into the mix it's his home club, and the people he's grown up around have started to turn on him, can you be that surprised?

What's still beyond doubt in my mind however, is that he's one of the most talent right backs I've ever seen, even when he's not bombing forward like the old days, he brings a composure, and creativity to the role that we will never replace.

Will the team become more balanced without him? Probably. Will we miss him and lose something distinctly unique and brilliant when he's gone? Absolutely.

Check out this fucking idiot.

Ange is broken.

Suited up, black tie, Levy in the crowd.

I think he's getting booted off the bus on the M6.

like konate hasn't just monstered their attack all game as well

Fucking pleb
I would be more outraged at the disserve Ibu receives, but honestly I'm just happy it keeps other clubs from snooping around. He's the second best centre back in the league for me, and it ain't even close. If only his hamstrings were a bit better.

Well, that was easy.

We were so dominant I almost felt sorry for Spurs. That second season trophy isn't not looking good Ange.

But that's the point, mate - He NOT that talent when attacking any more. That's why he's not worth the defensive shite anymore. Surely you can see that?
He is still sometimes but yes less so, to me football is an escape from everything. Still our 2nd leading assists I think…

I will forgive him for mistakes when he sets off an attack with a raking pass, I know it’s me but the stuff with that ball from that position is still unique. I know he switches off, seems one mind on Madrid but I hope he carries on as the RB he is, I feel he will always be ours where ever he plays.
To me, Trent is our version of Barca made Messi, Boca made Maradona, Ajax made Cruyff, I know it’s kind of mental but love how he plays that position.

Was randomly scrolling this morning and saw an old (I imagine) interview with Emil Forsberg who was naming his 'best' players in each position and he named Konate for CB. Obvs comments were full of people shitting on that but maybe in some pockets Konate gets his respect.

Exactly this.

Respectfully, I disagree with most of that, my friend. But, that's life, huh..? Have a great night, mate. Here's hoping we're still disagreeing about this after we win on March 16th. 🙂

Brilliant win. Just dominant from start to finish. 26-4 in shots and just no room for them to breath. We even scored from a corner just to throw our load in their face.
Some massive performances but young Bradley deserves a lot of praise. Trent moving on will hurt but what a player we have that can step up and take his place.

Lovely to get a trip to Wembley in Slottys first season. We go again!

Knew we would win mind as soon as I read this pre game:

Gary Neville:
I think Tottenham are going to get a draw. I don’t know how they’re going to get a draw at Anfield, but I feel like it’s going to be an emotional, mad night where something happens. I’ve got a feeling Tottenham could win the Carabao Cup.

Flights booked. Went up €6 from when I checked at 2-0 to when I booked at 4-0.
How difficult is it going to be to get the tickets? I might be London a couple of days before and I'd love to extend the stay for the final

Just saw 20/1 odds for us winning the quad
We won't win the quad, we always do this, but I think we'll pick up at least two trophies, and that's fucking brilliant. I'll always be sad that city fuck off when we win though, I'd crave nothing more than to beat them by a point at 94 points or some shit. Those CL nights smashing those oil barons cheats will always remain some of my favourite nights supporting this club.
