Fingers crossed for a semi injury free season from him. I've such little faith in his ability to stay to fit that I'd take a semi injury free season from him.

I'm not sure he is that good, but I'm not sure I'll ever have the Fortune of being proven right or wrong, either. It'll be that he's never fit or the team is poor.

IMO he was that good the season before last, but that was in a team firing on all cylinders. Whether he'd have been equally good last season if he'd been fit is less certain, but for me the basics of a very good player indeed are definitely there.

Didn't he like score 4 goals in 12 games and wasn't he unfit for most of those? Hey if someone offered £40m I would say take it as he is injury prone. If he is fit and can strike a partnership like he did with suarez we could see a return of 40 to 50 goals between the two of them. The doods injured give him break. Its surprising how some 'fans' can turn so easily on players that have been a success.

There are apparently reports in the papers today about how some senior England players had concerns about Hodgson's training demands before the Ireland game. We had the Studge's fitness stabilised before that incompetent old coot ignored our requests about how to handle him.

As for selling the Studge - well, every player has his price, but we'll never get as much for him now as he'd be worth to us if we can get his fitness back on an even keel.

Spoke with tony tonight, he says studge told him to come back with his son next time for a chat and some photos. Says he was super humble and really friendly. Real nice kid (studge) he said.

Studge was snubbed by some player when he was a lad and wanted an autograph, so he now makes a point of doing that sort of thing. Nice to see.
