Sky Italia 'claim' we've made a substantial offer for Sagna.

Odd, he's 31. Is he out of contract?

He's on a free in the summer.

Utd, City & Chelsea have all been speaking to his agent apparently, if true we're trying to beat them to the punch.

Why do we want a 31yr old, out of contract player who will want a massive pay day on his last contract? I'd rather we keep developing Flanagan and sell Johnson while he still has a value.

Sagna is a good right back, however I agree with the sentiment of not overpaying a 31yr old.

Johnson has value ?

It's way too late for that, just like it was when people finally copped Reina was no longer worth it.

Could be the agent wants a deal & we want him to one us one so are playing along.

The big sides box clever like with agents often, could way to reduce their extortionate fees a bit & ensure a fair shit at a player at the same time... Maybe interesting to know if his agent represents anyone we've been linked with or fits the bill for a position we're after.

I'm pretty certain that a move abroad would potentially generate a fee of around the £7m-£10m mark. Plus someone like Newcastle would be in there for that sort of money. Its not a lot granted but people were talking about him being worth double that not so long ago!

If QPR get promoted there is definitely a deal to be made.

As I said people said the same about Reina. We shifted him out on a loan deal and still pay him 60k a week for the privilege of it. As if by the time the fans realised Reina was past his best there would be some time lag between then and the rest of the world realising it, except the whole football world could see it before the majority of us did.

We're way too late to get any value out of selling Johnson. We just have to see out the deal now and let him walk.

I don't believe this.

Sagna isn't good enough to warrant going after, nevermind with a 'big offer'.

Sagna is no improvement on Johnson. Both seem to have let contract talks get to them and their perfomances have suffered because of it.

His performance at Anfield last week was the most hapless I've seen, from any RB, in a long long time. And thats saying something!

Fucking hell!

If Arsenal not going to offer and make him stay why would we want him here? Fucking overrated fullback!

Go for Piszczek.

Its BS. He's been close to signing a new deal with the Arse apparantly. Agent trying to squeeeze a bit more out of the club imho.
