Once we bring 1 in he'll go back to competing for a place in 1 of the 2 advanced midfield positions where his qualities actually lie.

I'm just seeing it for what it is.....a try out position in a friendly he won't be playing competitively in at all once it's addressed.

For England u21 it's different, there's no competition there so he can get away with playing a slightly deeper role.

It may be a freindly, but the fact that Jurgen has entrusted him with the No. 6 role against Bayern Munich - who is starting with Kimmich, Gnabry, Laimer, Musiala, etc - says a lot. Every other position is filled by a member of the starting 11 - in their best position.

He's gone with Jones because he's seen him feature there for England for 5-6 games and is the closest player we have to filling the role. It means nada.
