Pre Match Pre Match - Newcastle (A) - Wed 19:30

Other than when he missed an empty net from ON THE LINE, you mean? Or when the ball fell to him about 8 yards out, and his 'shot' went closer to the corner flag than to the net. Or.....
He didn't miss, he couldn't reach it. If he could have he would have. It's ridiculous to continue to berate someone for that.

And both Messi and R& have missed open nets, Salah too

If you're this annoyed at. Nunez who (at full stretch)didn't get to it, why not be annoyed at gakpo for decoding to square it rather than head in to an empty net?

We had 3 chances to score late on (Gakpo header, Nunez tap-in from header, Salah's cross-bar shot) and ended up gifting them the point (Kellegher). All in all, I think we were just unlucky based on a very good (but too open) second half. No need to shoot anyone.

Big need for the whole group to not reproduce a half like the first one, which was awful.

Because the higher percentage for us to score was to head it back across the goal, for one of our strikers to bundle it into an empty net. Since when do we get annoyed at players who set up a goal on a silver platter, if their teammates fucks it up and we don't score..?

As you can tell, I don't think that he couldn't reach it - didn't live, in real time, still don't, after watching dozens of replays... I think he was there, he just missed the ball. I can forgive the first, of course - That's not his fault (unless his positioning is poor). But even the commentator that we had over here thought that he got there, but took his eye off the ball..

Ive just rewatched it. Depressingly, it looks like he was more worried about hurting himself on the post than scoring. Which is surprising as his passion is probably his major strength.

That was supposed to be his break out match after those 2 wonderful goals against Newcastle last year, but he's worse, much worse. Not better.

That's what I saw, too. And I'm not a Darwin hater... But I am just done now. If he doesn't get to THAT, he's never going to be a legit, consistent goal scorer.

You need to watch the replay from the near post angle. His toe was just short of it. I thought he had missed it but that angle shows he simply couldn't get there.
He may have been just short, but imo, this is because he misjudged it, not because he didn't have the physical capabilities to get there. He was worried about babbing himself on the post.

Yeah I think Gakpo needed to get this on target or head it back with less speed on the ball.

I just like the commentator was suprise that Gakpo did not go for goal,as I believe Nunez was. 999.99 out of 1,000 per cent that is what Gakpo does, a becuase of that Nunez does not make the move earlier.
I also believe that none of our team would have score from that
