Pre Match Pre Match - Everton (A) - Weds 19:30

Yeah Oliver cost us the game.
Can't really say it was Oliver. First goal wasn't a free kick, granted; but they're still 40+ yards from goal. We were asleep

2nd goal is on VAR.

Thanks not to say Oliver was good; he was fucking shite. I just don't think he cost us the points

Szobo... Great energy, runs all game, but you can find those qualities in a labrador as well. At this level, he needs to get better at keeping possession and staying on his feet.
He’s shite. Runs and fouls all game.

There was never 2+ mins extra to add on. The full amount is never given ... there was 1 minute left when the two everton players collided. Somehow that was extended.

Their first goal wasn’t a foul on their player and their second was a foul on Konate.

I'm done with VAR. They can't get it right so it's a pointless intrusion. I mean if they can't get EITHER of those two right then what's the fucking point of it. And if they aren't "clear and obvious" then what exactly WOULD meet that threshold that WOULDN'T be spotted by the ref? It's useless.

Everton were good enough for the point. I can't be arsed going over ref decisions and individual errors. We put up a lacklustre team performance that meant the best we could dream off was a smash and grab, and we almost managed it.

The players have shown a mental block playing both United and Everton this season. We've been too soft and easily disrupted in games. I've been longing for Hendo/Milner to just lead us through tough moments, keep people switched on and alert, and do the basics right. We lack that nous and presence in the middle.

Oliver is a cunt, though. He was playing on for one big chance before ending the game.

I dont think he helped, the best 'football' derbies are when the ref uses his head, if you want drama you put that cunt in charge.

Don’t get buzz about Bradley still, if he wasn’t some one who hadn’t came through our youth then not sure would look at him twice if he played elsewhere on current form. There has to be more than a crunching challenge, and Diaz… useless.

This is exactly how I saw it, How the fuck did he add that extra minute, what the fuck was that the stupid ref cunt.

True enough, but that doesn't mean we all of a sudden forget how to defend, or that we just hoof the ball away.

Clash of heads won them a point there. Played more time than he should have.

That was after countless fake non-existent fouls. Including their first goal.

Glad to see Curtis show some passion, bit lacking in some of our other players.

Diaz in the middle doesn't work, did for about 25 mins once, hasn't since.

Mate he 100% cost us the points today. He was a homer from start to finish.
He definitely was a homer, but I don't think he cost us the points. VAR was more to blame than him. Hell, even our own players were more to blame than him.

For barely touching the guy? You're right. He could of.

Arne felt like he couldn't take the risk, knowing Oliver would fold to the crowd, and took off both Robbo and Conor.

Gana Geuye made an actual (second) yellow card foul, but Oliver played advantage instead, which lead to nowhere.

Frustrating game. Sure, the ref was a homer, but if we had just kept the ball better in the last minute instead of giving it back to them, there would be no way for Oliver to make a mistake.

No. But it was in answer to Oliver costing us the match ... and he did by playing time that didn't exist. There were 2-3 occasions after the injury I thought he was going to blow but he just let it run and run and run.

Yeah we miss a calm experienced midfield head in these moments
