Pre Match Pre Match - Plymouth (A) - FA Cup - Sun 15:00

As long as Gravy, VVD, Szbo and Salah are rested then don't mind. Think Jota will start, don't mind if Nunez doesn't but hopefully enough to see of Plymouth. Willl be away at the inbreds west country so will be pumping atmosphere wise.

We’d be mad to risk Bradley against clogging cup opposition. We have a challenging Prem game roughly every 3.5 days after this for the rest of the month and with no guarantee as to Trent’s return date right now, why on earth would anyone risk Bradley against Plymouth?

We have Endo, potentially Gomez and even Mabaya to come in against no-mark Cup opposition. The fuck should we risk Bradley..

Trent will start against Everton, I would play Bradley here to build up some form. If he has any chance of playing more for us then has to beat the injury record personally.

Do we know for sure that Trent is back for Everton?

------------------------Kelleher--------------------------
---Bradley----Gomez----------Quansah-------Tsimi---
-----------------------Endo
------------Elliott-------------McConnell----------
-------Chiesa---------Nunez-------------Ngumoga

I'd 'risk' Bradley with it. He hasn't played much football and if he's not playing regularly when Trent is out injured then what's the point? The lad needs and deserves minutes and Trent will be back before long. I wouldn't mind Jones starting, but McConnell deserves a go and I think Slot will back him.

I wouldn't even tell Jota there was a game on.

I would like Slot to try Nunez and Chiesa as the front 2 - I think the enthusiasm and intelligence of Chiesa could be something that potentially “unlocks” Nunez. So same team, but 4-4-2:

—————Kelleher—————
———-Gomez—-Quansah—-
Bradley——————Tsimikas
———-McConnell—Endo——
Elliott——————-Ngumoha
———Chiesa—-Nunez———

That’s a hell of a reserve team, BTW.

I’m hoping this squad has PSV vibes and get more key players rested.

Kelleher / Jaros

Bradley (possibly rotate with Gomez for fitness)
Quansah
Endo
Tsimikas

Mcconnell
Morton
Elliot

Chiesa
Nunez
Diaz

Get minutes for Jota to aid his return.

Leave Ibu Virgil Robbo Gravy Macca Mo at home.

Morton is El Muerto.

Imagine Bradley plays and gets injured.

If he does break down again let it be in the league, not away to this lot.

Imagine Bradley doesn’t play and Trent’s back for Everton, then what? He should play on merit and build up on the good games he’s afforded.

Trent and Gomez both back imminently, no need to worry about playing up to all these what ifs.

I think Slot will use Trent's injury as an excuse to bench him against Everton.

Come on , what we need right now is a hilarious loss against the bottom side of the Championship.

Maybe we could follow it up by purposely losing the League Cup Final as well - Dreamie will be delighted.

I had never heard of Mabaya before this thread so now I want him to play at least a half just so I know he's a real person.

Imagine being so shortsighted you risk the league and CL for a shot at an FA CUP run.

Your head is so far up your own arse you’ve not seen daylight for years.

You rotate the team, maybe even play kids who wouldn’t likely play which may lead to a defeat… but you never EVER hope to get beat.

Thank his our players don’t have the same defeatest attitude as you.

There’s nothing insightful about your position - you’re just playing the weak-minded troll.

I’d like the think you’re better than that - but you keep proving me wrong.

Repeating the same mistakes over and over is idiotic.

Pointing that out is hardly up my own arse or being a weak-minded troll.

I don’t care for the FA Cup, I want the league and CL.

We should win the league cup now too which means Slot will have a trophy under his belt.

Every round we get through the risk or facing a strong team and playing our best players grows and that in turn increases the risk of us losing a super strong position in the league due to injuries or fatigue.

Fuck that, and I couldn’t care less if people think that’s me trolling or whatever.

Giving playing significant playing time to Fringe players and youths that wouldn’t normally play keeps they match fit, sharp and in a better shape to come in and influence league and euro games - while also allowing key players to rest - winning, if that’s what happens also keeps momentum going and builds a strong mentality.

We’re in great shape, with almost an entire squad fit, no-one looking fatigued and plants of players without loads of playing time.

Do you know what sets great teams apart from also-rans? It’s the desire to win every game without exception. There’s no fucking chance the great Liverpool, Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal or City teams would ever countenance losing.

And here you are - not advocating for weekend team or even a youths team being sent out … but actively hoping we get beat.

You’d be as well coming clean that you’ve been a Man Utd fan all along.

It's different this season, we don't have 8 players out injured. We have a fully fit squad (except Trent who's feigning injury) and our squad players need minutes too.

No matter who we get in the 5th round, we would play a strong second team. Kelleher, Quansah, Gomez, Tsimikas, Endo, Jones, Elliott, Nunez, Diaz, McConnell, etc. They get good minutes in their legs. We would save our first team for the Newcastle and European Cup games which are either side.

Then we get to the quarters. 29th March. We would need to get some rhythm back following an international break before the Anfield derby so again a fairly strong side minus those who travel from South America.

Then it’s the semis 27th April. Provided we match Arsenal’s results up to this point the league is as good as done. If you get to the semis you may as well win it

That leaves us time to focus on Champion’s League and the European Cup.
