Match Thread Cup Final - Newcastle (Anfield South) - Sun 16:30

Shite, predictable and the players who should have started were the ones who actually did something. Diaz and Jota can fuck off, and Szobo was anonymous, spent more time fixing his hair the useless overrated cunt

Today's why I don't like szob at the 10. Zero creativity and midfield was just bypassed.

I'm so fucking disappointed today in this squad and the manager

Good thing the next game is against easy opposition

Oh it's Everton

Is it just me who's watched this team the last 3 months and is thinking how in the living fuck are they 12 points clear at the top of the PL? I mean, I'm REALLY glad we are, but man, it's a puzzle.
Yeah that's been my main thought of the last two hours also

We need to move on from Salah. I dont blame him for the result, but if he's going to be the super star getting super star money he needs to start showing up when it matters.

Hopefully Slot learns from this and starts using his squad more often.
We need to move on from the front 3 who started tbh. Salah however is arguably the one I'd want out least, as we know he can offer something.

I think it's oblivious we're a good team, that has performed well ahead of where it should be due to - primarily - salah's brilliance.
But the last 2 weeks have shown us how far we have to go to be a team that was as good as Klopp's great teams.

Newcastle have a very good midfield, a decent striker and the rest of their team is just sort of solid, nothing remarkable. They're so much more physical than us, and they wanted this so much more. We can beat them if we are sharp and confident and technical and have lots of energy. This midfield is none of that at the moment, and our attack is so jaded.

Slot should have brought something different to this game, and did anything but. He's mismanaged the last few games, not just in terms of tactics, but yes, definitely them, but in terms of motivation.

We've been playing a very negative game for a while, and we've lost the ability and confidence to do anything else.

This break is a good one, presuming half our squad don't return injured.

I'm sorry but the treatment of Chiesa is criminal. He's clearly good enough to have occasionally filled in for fucking DIAZ and JOTA, ffs.

Well ... None of us know much about why he's not playing.
I still assume it's fitness. I don't want to believe it's something stupid on Arne's part (like a Rafa type stubbornness).
I doubt him playing more would have made a difference overall (think of his game against Plymouth for example).

I'd love for someone to pull his stats over the past two season with/without Trent.

That might be a real indicator as to what we should do.

Spot on, Salah is nothing without Trent.
Edit: OK thats way to strong, but Trent makes him better.
