What he does or doesn't do for Chelsea isn't really the point though.
I don't think he would have had the chance to do much for us either though.
Just the two assists in ONE sub appearance then hey ho.
diouf scored 2 goals in 1 game too.

isolated appearances aren't reflective of impact, especially against a team who had 10 men

i did like raul but i'm confident we can progress and improve further. I'd rather players be here because they see us as the club for them

Andy, re your 'list': The two managers Meireles worked under for us didn't judge him or play him as a central midfielder, so I don't get your point. And including Aquilani in there is drawing a long bow too mate. Continually selecting Jay Spearing in CM ahead of him tells you all you need to know.

Anyway, I'm not "gutted" in the slightest. As most would have noticed, I never thought he was great anyway. Good, but not great. Good players are replaceable.

He clearly wasn't in Kenny's immediate plans. He was never going to figure as a central midfielder for plenty of reasons, and wide right and left we have more options now than we did at the start of the summer. We've now got Downing, Kuyt, Bellamy and Henderson as wide options. All better than Meireles too.

Actually, Hendo probably isn't, but he's young - has plenty of upside, and is quite clearly in Kenny's plans.

12M for a player who isn't in our plans, and who won't improve our opposition (given that he'll not even start half their games) is fine by me. If I was a Chelsea fan I wouldn't be that ecstatic about adding another ageing player to their already decrepit squad.

And I wouldn't be that thrilled if I was Meireles either. Quite clearly second choice to Modric, he's Barca's pursuit of Mascherano when they couldn't get Fabregas. Second choice, he'll be a bench player, and he had to go through the ignominy of handing in a transfer request for it.

I've moved on already.
That has actually made me feel a bit better. Thanks.
Aye but Raul did it all of last season too. Diouf LITERALLY did it one game.

He will feature plenty for Chelsea, he's played under Villas Boas before, they obviously know each other well enough to know what to expect from each other
He won't start more than 15 PL games for them.

And great post Ryan.

Thanks I feel better now. 🙂 Come to think of it, he hurt his shoulder pulling out of a tackle against Exeter

Meh. Im over it now. Fuck him and his shitty plazzy club.

I prefer Adam as the other cunts a Chelsea cunt.

Onwards and upwards.

The pictures of Bellamy on the Official have got me all tingly seeing us when we were well good again.

Thats the future too now.

LETS DO THIS!!

Raul only really did it for one month of last season. At least that's when he scored nearly all his goals.
i liked raul, i really did, but he was shite if he played anywhere but AM. And even then he was only potent jan-feb. Suarez and kuyt upstaged him consistently

The Chelsea owner must have a policy for Liverpool:

"If a Liverpool player scores against my team - I offer him contract"

I guess what we should do is - in games we play against them we should put one of our shit players up front (we don't have shit players at the moment) and do everything to enable that player to score and hold onto the game to win it. Come the following season - Chelsea will come in with a bid.

That's the problem, we don't have many scrapegoats now! Damn you Kenny!

Every single waste of space in the squad has gone (I'm not counting Brad Jones due to personal circumstance) AND Lucas is playing well.

we miss a difficult chance

"FUCKING HELL GROUNDSMAN!! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!!! THAT GRASS IS WELL TOO LONG"

not a good idea, but what are we to do? Keep the miserable shit haired cunt? Rot in the reserves, watching his fee decrease?

Henderson, @Charlie26Adam and Downing all created more chances than Raul Mereiles last season. Newboy

We'll get on with life and progress as a club

HA!
Just know that when you wake up you'll be annoyed but less angry. Then when we turn stoke inside out you'll feel better.

When we lift the PL trophy you'll think "raul who"

Well, I've just got in from visiting my lovely married friends and their lovely children.

Glad I've missed the Ming nonsense.

Not sure how I feel about Bellamy re-signing.

Aaaah, feck it !

YNWA.

It's probably more about Villas-Boas than Chelsea. Anyway, who cares? He wasn't going to be first choice for us anyway.

He was under villas boas for a month i believe

*realises it sounds dirty*

Good Post Ryan. I'm still gutted we lost him from our squad and given him to a rival for a similar fee we originally paid for him.

We'll miss his running of the ball, he movement, his link up play and the fact he could play if needed across the midfield our off the striker. Is he actually injured at the mo btw?

Oh and FFS obviously I was joking about his hair, yeah im gutted we sold him over a fucking mohawk.

Yeah, but they're fellow countrymen and VB is supposed to be the shit. It's probably all he hears about from his mates at home.
