Let me guess; against Chelsea and City? FFS he's had 2 very good games out of 200, I'll even admit he's had about 20 other reasonably good performances and probably another 20 that were decent enough.................he's been poor > shite in the other 150+ games though!

He seems like a top bloke AND he doesn't deserve any abuse because he doesn't pick the team AND he is more worthy of a place than Shelvey but seriously Fox the only way "awesome" and "Lucas" should be in the same sentence is......wouldn't it be awesome if we could replace Lucas with a good DM.

We don't have a midfield player who can be said to have had a good season overall. Gerrard was really out of sorts earlier in the season. Henderson has only recently found a bit of form. Shelvey has had opportunities and missed them. Allen has been woeful of late after a promising start. Sahin barely played.

So Lucas has been crocked and mostly shit since his return. Join the club.

I actually thought he was pretty good in the 2nd half.

He had almost nothing to do in the first half.

If Mascher had played we would have had the same result except we wouldn't have had as many shots on goal or held the ball as much.

I thought he was good as well, well better than he has been of late. I would have taken him off instead of Henderson though, WBA weren't going to hurt us through the middle.
