Do people think we should be starting with him based on current form? I think Henderson should be starting ahead of him, and let one of our more creative midfielders play the role Shelvey tried to play today.

At best he's an average player, and I've said it a million times - it's stupid to expect anything good from him this season. He shouldn't be playing.

Play him for the first half of next season, allow people to fawn over his pass completion rate and tell us how good he is. Then fucking sell him.

I honestly see no difference between Lucas pre-injury and now, he wasn't good enough - he isn't good enough - and sadly he'll never be good enough.

Between now and the end of the season he'll have one decent game and some of the pro-Lucas "brigade" will be back to suggesting; he should be captain, we should build our team around him, etc.

I'm baffled as well, can't see the difference.

He's played 200 games for us. I struggle to get my head round that. I remember him scoring against Havant and Waterloo and having 3 or 4 'effective' games last season.

We should keep these threads for when Hendo has been a regular for 5 years as well.
