has got to be on roy's list, "True out and out goal scorer", this what gary L called him. We have missed a player of his style who can nip a goal in the six yard box. And he would be cheap.

Same old problem though. Great world cup = big price tag.

Hasn't he only scored 6 goals this season?
[/quote]
He hasn't had too many games. It's a player i think wll revel in the English game.

Scored 2 in the entire Bundesliga campaign.

A few months ago Klose said that if he leaves Bayern, he would prefer a move to Liverpool.

i don't think klose is that slow that we can compare him to morientes.

he didn't score this year b/c he barely played - but you can tell how dangerous he still is getting onto crosses and his movement for germany has been superb. I'd happily have him as our #2 or #3 striker. Let's face it, we don't have money to splash out on too many quality players - so if we buy say Turan, than signings like Klose need to be made to strengthen a weak squad.

Exactly what he said.

I was going to comment on his movement, before I saw your post, he gets into goal scoring positions easily and if he drags the opposition defenders out of position thereby creating space for team mates like Mueller and Podolski to do some damage (see Germany's 2nd goal against England).

He'd be affordable and probably still has a couple of good seasons left in him. Liverpool could do with a backup striker like him. But will Bayern be disposed to letting him go though? He might still finish the World Cup as the golden boot winner and/or its all time highest goal scorer. Their fans won't be happy to see him leave after the tournament he's having.

Sorry for sounding like a broken record but he is exactly the type of player we need and saying that I would not mind if Horse face joined us either.

I love Klose and think he would do miles better than Morientes in England.

Well Klose's main strength is heading, and given how long the ball is in the air in the EPL - of course he would benefit

I'd have taken a left back, Joe Cole and Klose (even before all the recent upheaval) as a good Summer

At the moment, apart from Torres of course, our striking strength in depth consists of N'gog.

With that in mind I don't think we are in a position to be too fussy

I hope Woy gives him a chance, he looked capable in the brief flashes in which we saw him!

I fogot about Jovanovic I have to admit

I think Woy will give a chance to some young players. Maybe Pacheco will get his chance, and maybe Dalla Valle too

Reports in the papers linking Pacheco to Malaga and Espanyol.

I suppose it isn't entirely surprising that with Rafa gone many of the Spanish "starlets" are being linked with a move back to Spain.

I think that would be a bad move on our part. I agree with Peatcheo I thought Pacheco looked very capable when thrown in the mix and did more (in most cases) than the player he replaced in the short time he was on the pitch.

He did, but if he's set on leaving he's not likely to produce his best even if he tries. In that event we'd be better off with the money.

DV is talk of the town loads of people wanting him to get a look in. Was the same with Nemeth!
