The new number 9…

I've always liked Kulusevski. If I had to pick from the Premier League, he’d be my choice. At just 24, he's two-footed, has a decent shot, a great work rate, and plays with his head up. There’s a lot to like, and you’d imagine he’s looking at players like Son and thinking, I don’t want to finish my career with nothing to show for it.

Would Raphinha leave Barca? Probably not, but I’m sure he’ll be on a shortlist. We liked him at Leeds but didn’t need him at the time. Since then, he’s proven himself at the top level.

I think Bakayoko has something about him too, though his showboating at Anfield probably wasn’t the best way to endear himself to Slot and the club officials.

The striker draught has been much talked about but there isn't an obvious Salah replacement out there that I can see. Salah had back to back seasons scoring 20 plus goals for us. Tough to find that at the minute.

We should have bought Raph from Leeds

I don't think we have to replace Salah with someone who will be a prodigal talent, I think we know that we need a centre forward and we need a right sided player to compete with or replace Salah, so we will be looking to buy two attackers who can both weigh in with the goals. We haven't had a centre forward who has hit big numbers in a long time and maybe that gives us some flexibility in trying to find the right balance of goals.

Nah, Sesko is a very good player. But there are probably others who are a better fit for us.

Before he fucked up his own future you could argue a Cunha + David or Ekitike + David would be great replacements for Jota and Darwin.

The issue with Isak is that if it fucks up our budget getting him then you have to consider how we can build this attack going forward. Ideally its Isak and then you have top 2-3 striker in the World to the focal point.

He’s potentially better than that…but I still think there’s better options out there

My issue with Kulusevski is his output. Its not great so far but that might change in a much better team. Great player with a great attitude and work rate. He also seems to be fit for most of the season which is a bonus these days.

3 years left on his deal so will be expensive.

I wonder if we'll pull another Caicedo with Isak.

Arsenal/Chelsea or whoever will bid for him, Newcastle, after some hard haggling will accept the offer.

And then we'll look to parachute in and offer a similar amount at the last minute.

But after all the hardwork and interest has been shown by Arsenal/Chelsea, he'll likely go there. And we'll pretend like we were close, when in reality we never had the budget for him in the first place.

Didn’t we fail with Caicedo and then spend £120 million on a whole new midfield?

Not really, we failed then spent £60m or so on Grav and Endo. We'd already spent nearly £100m on Szobozslai and Mac Allister.

I don't really believe this idea we bid for Caicedo just to look good, though. He could easily have agreed to join and then we'd look like complete morons.

I like the look of Etitike. He's very much like Isak, 2 years ago.

Think he could develop into a fabulous player and at a fraction of the cost of Isak.

This talk of Dembele, since 2017 he has had 7 hamstring injuries, that’s nearly one every season and that does not include his other issues.
Are we willing to pay £80 million and risk that?
