Midfield death watch:
Elliott - dead
Thiago - dead
Milner - dead
Fabinho - on life support
Keita - also on life support

Hendo - OK
Jones - OK
Ox - OK

Who the fuck is going to start against Preston?
Morton, Minamino and Ox ?

I would guess Morton, Hendo and Ox. Minamino up front or on the left.

I’m hoping Klopp goes full second string, it’d be nice to give the energy drink cup a go but we’ve never got a healthy enough squad to take it seriously

[Pearce] "Pogba did not connect with [Keita's] weight-bearing foot and he was instead bounced out of the way by the impact. Keita had not twisted anything — he did not even leave the ground on crutches. It was not another Harvey Elliott moment. Liverpool expect any bruising to settle down quickly."

Reminds me of a story Crouchy told on his podcast. There was a game where Mark Gonzalez was taken off the pitch with oxygen / gas and tons of medical staff. They turned up to Melwood on the Monday and Gonzalez was already in and doing squats!

I said injuries would prevent us winning the league this season.

Didn’t expect it to derail us this early, expected it in Jan.

Would Gini’s always available ghost body about now!

Elliot
Thiago
Milner
Fabinho
Keita

It's like a repeat of last season's situation with our defence...

International break can't come sooner enough

And really not predictable that Elliot, Milner, or Keita would all be out that the same time. Thiago and Keita were legitimate worries.

And, it was not unreasonable to think Jones was ready for next step, as he showed against Porto. Sadly, that might have been the only evidence yet.

In short, I quite happy to wait for Bellingham and I think he is our next VVD/Alison purchase.

Hopefully we’ll sign one in January.
