Time to refresh things I think. Assuming Flanagan is back, and Allen & Sakho have injuries:

------------------Mignolet-----------------
Flanno-----Toure----Skrtel-----Agger
------------------Lucas-------------------
----------Alberto---Henderson------
--Sterling------Suarez------Coutinho

Sounds right. If Hendo is unfit, I would be tempted to drop Coutinho back and play Ibe upfront.

Isn't Ibe injured?

I'd give Alberto a run out at Coutinho's expense - he needs a rest. Similarly, I'd be tempted to start Ibe ahead of Sterling if fit.

We could always bring on Coutinho/Sterling at 60 mins.

I'd also drop Johnson to give him a kick up the backside.

You realise if we make wholesale unenforced changes we'll loose.

Fuck giving people a rest - play as strong a starting eleven as we can - and give key players a rest once we've secured the game.

Sakho out - Agger in at CB.

Unpopular, but probably has to be Cissoko at LB.

Allen out - Alberto in - if Gerrard isn't fit.

That's enough - any more fucking around and we're asking for more trouble.

8 goals scored over the past 2 matches. 2 of which were against Man Utd.

Coming here buoyant from the 6-0 thrashing of Fulham, and on the back of 2 home games (i.e. no travelling) with 1 more day's rest.

Hopefully we'll irked out a result and then regroup for the next league game in mid Jan.

I'd give Smith another run out from the start against Hull. Easier opponents, home ground, and he gets to play right from the start when the slate is clean, instead of the perfect storm he was thrown into at Stamford Bridge with us a goal down in an away game against an opponent playing the best they've ever done this season and us not really getting any grip on the game. It was a totally cruel induction into the senior game. I'd like to see how he comes back from a poor performance.

Cissokho is a lost cause, and so is Moses. Let's not waste time on these two loan players; I'd rather our youngsters get the chance to improve than playing these two since they don't add a lot more anyway.

Can't wait for this game so need 3 points again, but they'll be buzzing after there 6-0 win, Suarez will be up for this and hoping hendo will be fit enough to start..
Bring on Wednesday..

That would be my team with big reservations about Cissokho.

Assuming that Hendo, Allen and Sakho are all buggered and Stevie is not fit to start.

Ming

Kelly Sktel Agger Johnson

Lucas Toure
Sterling Alberto Couthino

Suarez

In his presser today. Said Allen would be out for a few weeks, awaiting confirmation on Sakhos injury and will Gerrard every chance to make the Hull game.

Craig Pawson has been named as the referee. I've got no idea who he is but a young fella that made his PL debut this year.

Toure at DM? Never heard of him playing there and I can't imagine that being the solution. I thought we played so much better when Coutinho played as CAM instead of on the wing. He can hold the ball up, and control the game (even though he had a pretty poor game against Chelsea).

Ming
Johnson Skrtel Agger Cissokho
Hendo Lucas
Coutinho
Sterling Moses
Suarez

Moses has been in poor form but I think it is the best solution we have (w/ Lucas slightly left to provide cover)

That's the likely line up. I'd prefer Alberto for Moses and Smith for Cissokho.

I'm having Kelly at RB no matter what. Johnson can play LB or fuck off

Yep, that could very well be the team. Gerrard will probably be on the bench.
Sturridge was training today aswell. Hopefully he'll be back for the Stoke game

Gerrard, Suarez and Hendo passed fit to start.

Have this horrible feeling we'll draw today, hope I'm wrong.

Happy New Year SCM! I'm still drunk

I think this match will be called off.

The weather is absolutely wicked in Liverpool at the moment

If anything a waterlogged pitch is on the cards

To be honest I would like that to happen from the perspective that I reckon we will be very flat after the last two games with Hull on a high and with a water loogged pitch not helping our passing game

I hope it will be called off. I don't like our current injury list + potential/probable fatigue.
We could use a two week break for re-grouping and having some of the injured back + maybe some new faces.

Anfield pitch drains very very well, so I doubt it.

That said it hasn't stopped raining for hours & is ridiculously heavy so I suppose it could happen.

Steve Bruce can shield parts of the pitch with his massive head during the game aswell

I've got a bad feeling about this game. The fact that Oncy is unlikely to have his lad out is bad news for the cause. Unless he sits at the game with a tartan blanket over his tumescent manhood.

Yeah, was going to say this. I don't think I've ever seen Anfield with drainage problems. And it isn't the driest part of the world.
