FSG.. looking to sell?

A surcharge being the £1m difference between what we offered and Spurs offered I.e. £5m for a player the lunatic was asking £10m for is that ?

Firstly, stop using pathetic hyperbole to describe my discussion points. I'm not hysterical in the slightest and your conspiratorial crap is grating but I'm guessing thats your aim here. As for my comments they have everything to do with allowing Carroll to go. Rodgers has clearly stated we need goal scorers this week. He's also clearly stated he'd be mad to let Carroll go without replacement options coming in. Now why do you think he ould sanction that move in the full knowledge he would be getting no-one in ? He simply wouldn't. So it thus becomes plainly obvious that either our owners have shifted the goalposts or Rodgers hasn't got a clue what he's doing. And there's nothing in his previous transfer to suggest the latter. I've had other information that reinforces the former point but people choose to label that gossip, rumour or conspiracy theory - that's fine but I know the validity of it. I've been party to 100% accurate information on how our board members and execs have behaved of late but I can't share that but there are people in here who will know what I'm referring to. Alls not tickety boo behind the scenes much as your 'common sense' would prefer it to be. You don't know me 'lad' nor do you know the validity of what I hear so you can ram your hysterics nonsense. As I say, you don't have to believe me but you can fuck right off with your unfounded accusations. Lad.

You're breaking my heart. I have a bad hang over and I'm not quite sure what you are saying? The owners wants to sell? They are as bad as G/H? Why? Because they didn't want Rodgers to buy Dempsey?

Last week they got rid of over $250m worth of contracts from the Boston red sox (two of which were marquee signings only a year ago).

I'm sure Ross can give more details.

I know I'm a bit late to the discussion, but that's not the full story on the Red Sox trade.

The Red Sox removed $250m worth of salary (to 2018) from their books with that trade, removed 3 under-performing/over-payed players (one of which - Carl Crawford - makes Michael Owen's career look injury-free) and got some very highly-touted prospects in return. The only people complaining are the people who still think those players are able to produce (a small and vocal minority). It would be the equivalent of us getting Downing, Carroll and Cole off our books in exchange for some top prospects who are ready to play in the first team.

I think Henry realizes that a sustainable model for the future in both leagues doesn't include these over-priced/over-payed players, but instead building from within. I'm just not sure if he recently embraced this strategy from watching other teams in the the Premiership or Major League Baseball.

I wouldn't normally share however will make an exception today in the interests of calming you down.

The owners are trying to run the club as a business and therefore would prefer to clear the decks of highly paid, unproductive employees whilst replacing them with players who represent better value. They're not too enthusiastic about paying a surcharge for an older player demanded by a Michael Jackson loving lunatic.

This is 100% accurate but I can't tell you where I got it from.

Everyone can pack in the insults

Whether we're thick or getting anally raped isn't important

Us not being cunts is what's important

While the owners are sacking Ayre, they should pick up a copy of today's Telegraph and twat themselves around the head with it for appointing and having to sack ANOTHER failure.

Perhaps they could reward him with promotion back to the commercial department to avoid another sacking.

Sunny, I don't find it a completely reasonable argument to line up Rodgers quotes and say, look, connect the dots, either he's an idiot or the owners are Machiavellian, because he wouldn't allow this to happen.

I accept the premise that it was a basic, and ludicrous fuck up.

There are many explanations that could result in this happening, with various apportionment of blame. I don't think the most likely one is the one where Rodgers is promised money (the Carroll money that didn't exist) and then was told to fuck off so that we made the club that little bit leaner. It's not enough money to make a difference, which is why it is so frustrating.

Rodgers certainly isn't blameless. He assisted in putting the club in a last minute high pressure situation. That situation exposed that we weren't particularly agile, but we shouldn't have been playing musical chairs with a critical replacement in the first place.

I know all tensions are running high chaps for obvious reasons..

But can we try and keep the abuse being hurled at one another to a bare minimum

Thanks..

Yeah, pretty much Jono. It's been a shit 24hrs but I'm at that 'meh' stage now, what will be will be, let's get in this together and fight and turn ourselves into a new, young exciting side. Bring it on.

Sunny, thanks for sharing. But you know we are all now on high alert and our trust in fsg is now tainted. You are seen as captain common sense here...you feel 100% behind these assertions?
