That's the thing. Sunny is never given to hyperbole or mud-slinging on here. If he's privy to something that we're not and is fucked off about it, that's enough to make me think twice, and I'm mr optimistic with regards most things.

I would say that we should bring in something similar to the Rooney rule next time we're looking for a new mod, but i can't see that going down too well on here for a couple of reasons.

Not really, considering the amount of lfc forums hammering the fsg emails kicking off its blatantly obvious someone had to take the blame.
If we take two things as read, that Rodgers said those comments to journos & that he clearly thought he was getting at least one striker to replace Carroll, then he was either lied to by fsg & Ayre or Ayre fucked up that badly that Rodgers felt he was misled.
Either way Ayre would go considering how angry our fans are.
I suspect we'll find out soon what Rodgers said to the press, what with them being the press & having a tendency to report stuff. The BBC already ran something alluding to it this morning I believe.
It's more likely Ayre is being sacked for fucking up, rather than him being sacked because some idiots think cowboy is an ethnic slur.
