Rodgers should have identified someone younger and better than Clint Dempsey in the first place. He can't complain about the owners having fucked him over on this, as any reasonably person would have fucked him over too. Clint Dempsey is destined to be a shit substitute at a medium sized club, and people will shudder to think what he'd have been at this one. Meanwhile Andy Carroll will become a hero.
In any case all the rest of the criticism aimed at our cunt owners were all valid two days ago, so it's a bit cuntish to have kept them bottled up and then vent them now in one go. The owners were cunts for not sacking Hodgson after his six games, and for allowing him to buy poulsen and konchesky. They've remained cunts ever since.
From my perspective it's more important to know whether Rodgers is on the road to becoming one.

I disagree. I think with the current system he'd offer as much a chance as any of our alternatives, not more. But let's agree to disagree on this.

The thing is, there *must* have been a budget at some stage, hence BR's confidence up to the day of the transfer window closing that perhaps 2 forwards would be brought in. It is very peculiar.
I dont think these owners should make us a more attractive proposition to potential buyers/investors so they can sell for a profit.

And we have spent about (edit) 50m net over 4 transfer windows since FSG took over. That's spending at the same kind of level we might expect during the Moores ownership.
Someone told me yesterday that Villa had 5m accepted and when we spoke to Fulham they told us 10m.
Now I dont know if thats true or not. But im unwilling to believe either spurious argument wether it suits my standpoint or not mate.

And Rodgers has already evidenced that CM was his priority not goalscorers (he only had ONE at Swansea) he also has evidenced that he sees Morgan as better back up for HIM than Carroll. So I dont get the issue.

I don't think he's going to come out and say that. If anything, he's probably mindful of what happened when Rafa went down that road. However, he apparently did reveal, off the record, to a number of local journos yesterday that he'd been mislead about the business that would be done by FSG. We'll see how much of that percolates into the public arena.
I think his comments from yesterday suggest at the very least, there were massive problems in internal communication. He was very confident of business being concluded on two forwards. So much so that he did the thing he said "I would be stupid" to do, by letting AC go without a replacement. Indeed, we accepted a *worse* deal for AC than that which was fucking offered by West Ham weeks ago. Sullivan must be laughing his tits off at us.
Which could be the case. Letting Carroll go without bringing in other options, especially after what Rodgers has said publicly, makes no sense at all though. Absolutely none.
