Momo was a big occasion player. If there's any truth in the reports about him going to Real, it may well be because they remember the way he destroyed Barca when we beat them at the Nou Camp (not for the first time incidentally). And if it hadn't been for Momo keeping us in the 2006 Cup Final practically single-handed when everybody else was out on their feet, even Stevie's eventual heroics might not have been enough.

momo was magnificent in the fa cup final. stevie took the plaudits (deservidly so) but momo was a major part of why we were still in the game.
First off I don't believe for one second Momo is going to Real. I've watched him play several times this Season and he's still not a good footballer at all in my opnion.
Secondly FC Barcelona were hot on Poulsens heels more than once - especially during his days in Sevilla - why links in itself is not a verified stamp of quality. At least not when you're moving from one league to another.
Oh with regards to Gago, he's really not good either. Do not want him.

Momo always seemed to be brilliant without the ball and terrible with it.
He was never the same after that eye injury.

Yeah I agree with that, looked very promising before that horrendous injury but never really got going after it.

momo's problem, like mash (although mash is clearly a better player) is distribution. pointless to win the ball in one move and then give the ball about in the next, it kinda defeats the object of winning the ball in the first place.

He was absolutely brilliant at breaking up attacks.
His difficulty was distinguishing between theirs and ours
