"Inter Milan and AC Milan for the player? No, currently there aren't these opportunities. A return to Roma? There is nothing."

Inter don't need him.

Milan have other priority signings - Ibrahimovic, Boateng, & Ganso ... & keeping hold of Pato.

Roma - don't really need him as David Pizzaro has established himself as one of the best playmakers in Serie A.

Pretty much Juve are the only ones who can afford him and need him ...

I know very little about Italian football...

Who takes Pirlo's place in Milan's midfield?

Not sure myself.

They've been linked to Essien, Fabregas, Defour... Although like I've said their priority is Ibrahimovic, Boateng & Ganso... So funding a transfer for any of the the 3 I mentioned would be difficult.

My guess would be Riccardo Montolivo of Fiorentina.

Same player as Pirlo, wouldn't be too costly either, & he wants to leave Fiorentina - and is a lifelong Milan fan.

Also, it wouldn't suprise me to see them push Thiago Silva up into the Pirlo role, and try a defensive pairing of Mexes & Nesta...
