Just got reminded that in 2009/10 season, he started 9 (in 18) Premier League games & in those 9 he got 6 assists & scored 1 goal.

Assists against: Burnley, Portsmouth, Tottenham, Bolton
Goal against: Portsmouth
You can add a few standout Europa games to that.

Interesting times for Aquilani.

Playing well and on a consistent basis.

Fitting in well at Juventus - but Juve don't seem to have the cash for him.

Euro 2012 only around the corner ... would he risk his chances of an Azzurri spot for another season in England? I don't think so.

Can't see Milan purchasing him - they got to tie up the deal for Ibra, and their priority signing seems to be Ballotelli (this will also piss off the Interista).... & if Milan do sign a central mid, I got a feeling they will go for Montolivo anyway.

I think most likely Liverpool will settle on a cut-price for Aquilani with Juventus ... Juve will offer us more than they are willing to at the moment if they can get rid of Amauri & a few others.

There's unlikely to be a cut-price deal with Juventus.

They already have a very good deal which will see us make a 5 million loss on him (added to the 5 million already lost on that lump of shit called Poulsen bought from Juventus); they can take that or they can fuck off.

Eloquent Avvy.

Am I the only one who finds it infuriating with the increasing ammount of unwitty comments like these with regards to current Liverpool-players?

It almost makes me miss Brendan's misdemeanours as he at least knew how to make them funny-like too.

But Poulsen isn't very good though, is he?

You surely would agree if he'd said 'he plays like a lump of shit'.

It's called calling a spade a spade mate.

It's not meant to be witty; it's meant to be a personal frustrating lament to all the time taken and money spent to watch Poulsen masquerade as a Liverpool player.

Look at my past posts to see how many "Liverpool" players I've called that.

It won't take very long.

Juventus must have bit their lips so hard to stop themselves laughing when we got him that they needed blood transfusions.

As for whether you're the only one?

Probably yes when it comes to Christian Fucking Poulsen.

Its time to bring aquilani back... and give maximum rest. And tell juvenile to fuck off
I wonder if we could bring him back now?
On the basis that we had an agreement in place over the fee at the end of the loan and that from discussions that have been had with Juve are clearly unwilling or unable to meet their side of the bargain.
Therefore we consider the agreement over and are bringing him back to Liverpool immediately

regards

I would.

But that's not the same is it?

Ah well...

Doubt it, Vlad. The option falls to be exercised at the end of the season and we'd face an uphill climb trying to prove that Juve had already exercised it.

Yes, I suppose that's all it was, an option.
Still we ought to make some noises like we are going to bring him back early, just to ruffle a few feathers

regards

Difficulty with that is it might goad Aquilani into further public statements re-emphasising that he has every intention of staying there, which would make our task in the negotiations more difficult. I think I'd let Fido snooze on for now.

Alright,Kris.

In that case, I take it back.

I shouldnt have called Poulsen a 'lump of shit'.

What I should have said was that Poulsen 'plays like a lump of shit'

But not just any shit; he plays like a lump of dog-shit the very millisecond after it's turned white and solid...it's not regular dogshit because regular dogshit is still fluid and can move...Poulsen just stays solid shit.

I still dream that he can wake up one day, break his hair-band and suddenly turn himself into a Liverpool player, but I fear that day will never come and we will always hear Juventus laughing in the background every time his name is mentioned...just the same way an angel gets his wings everytime a Christmas chime rings.

Oh dear I don't think KHL is going to get many backers on this somehow
I wasn't expecting to.

Still don't understand why any Liverpool-fan would call any of our current players 'a lump of shit' only because of his average to poor performances on the pitch.

Slightly off topic but there's very little to laugh about in Juve these days.

Personally I don't believe Momo is any better mind why you could argue we're only even.

I'm advised that most Juve fans would agree with that comparison. Mind you, I don't know how much they've seen of Poulsen in a Liverpool shirt. I'm afraid I suspect Momo has had more decent games for Juve than Poulsen has for us.

That's probably right mate. Sadly.

There's no probably about it. Sissoko is a million times the player Poulsen is, purely because he can move at a rate faster than a snail.

The mistakes for Poulsen are mainly two. He is not a very smart footballer, and he is not a very skilled footballer.

Smart players can manage because they can read the game and get away with lack of pace etc. One very good example is his danish fellow Jan Molby.

Skilled players are able to trick themselves out of good situations. A la Suarez.

The best thing is of course a combo, like Zidane.

Am I the only one that liked Momo?
Would anyone else prefer Momo to sit behind Gerrard and Ming instead of Lucas (and obviously Poulsen)?

He had some shite games for us but I thought he was alright to very good in more games than he was shit in.

He was very valuable in many games, though I think I understand the frustration people had when it came to his passing ability. But with Agger close to him and Gerrard & Ming also close by, simple short passes, a la Lucas, but with far, far, far better defensive skills would be a lot more valuable to our current team I think.

I've gone off topic haven't I.

Momo was a big occasion player. If there's any truth in the reports about him going to Real, it may well be because they remember the way he destroyed Barca when we beat them at the Nou Camp (not for the first time incidentally). And if it hadn't been for Momo keeping us in the 2006 Cup Final practically single-handed when everybody else was out on their feet, even Stevie's eventual heroics might not have been enough.

He was a beast in several games against Maureen's Chelsea too on a few occasions. I remember him completely dominating Essien and Lampard in a game at Stamford Bridge that we should have won really.
