Rumour is City will give Adebayor a free transfer. Wont mind him if Carroll leaves.

His ex agent made a few comments on the radio the other day & all but said he has refused to play for clubs to get higher wages & cares only about cash, stating he wouldn't leave Citeh for less than he's currently on.

As we're clearly actively trying to cut the wage bill there's no hope we'll pay. There's also no hope Rodgers will take a player with that kind of attitude.

Ex agent. Not the best source tbh. He's obvs extremely driven by money, but a loan could be a good deal for us.

Arry was always talking about how good his attitude was, but anyhoo, a 1 year loan with us paying what Spurs did last season would be a brilliant deal.

I'd imagine we'd have much more chance of getting a Real player or two on loan.

Benzema/Higuain anyone?

I'm amazed we haven't tied up a loan deal for Sahin to be honest.

Our Borini signing is a great marker for the type of signing we need to go for.
A season or two of experience, young age, real top potential.

I hope thats the type of signing we see more of.
Allen (although I think thats bullshit) is another of that ilk.

Dempsey is not.

I do like the idea of being more like Napoli/Porto etc than an Atletico Madrid sign 10 players every year type of shit.

Liverpool Make Up Transfers to Discover Mole

Liverpool FC has confirmed today that a mole within the corporate communications division has been discovered, located and eliminated. Over the last 24 hours the club has released two bogus news storied indicating that they had accepted bids for two players (Andy Carroll and Alberto Aquilani) and that deals to sell those players were imminent.

In order to locate the errant staff member the club had to portray an act of almost complete fabrication knowing that the source of previous leaks would give away his/her position. The club has become known for its secrecy in transfer dealings and absolutely insists on continuing in this manner. It was therefore essential that the club deceived other staff, fans and press journalists alike to ensure the lie was kept completely confidential.

Jen Chang, Liverpool’s Director of Communications was unavailable for comment, but quickly released a short statement through junior LFC staff – “We apologise to all our fans around the world for the recent confusion surrounding players and transfers. Complete secrecy was required for a successful mole hunt, and we are now happy to confirm normal service resuming. We can categorically say that no deals have been agreed for Andy Carroll or Alberto Aquilani”.
