BTW, I would take 13m and Ba no problem. It stinks to take such a hit, but I think Ba is a terrific forward, and so long as the 13m is reinvested well, we would be stronger for that deal.

Aye I'd take that. Ba's knees are apparently knackered but at £7m or so he's probably worth the risk. Borini, Ba, Suarez looks like a pretty lively attack to me.

He played wide since Cisse came every time. I think he looked really excellent last season, and his knees were already supposed to be fucked before he signed for Newcastle. He played 34 league games for them last season and the absences were because he was at the African nations. Over his career he has something like a 1 in 2 goals record. He's beasty.

I suggested that Doc. The whole point of selling Carroll is to raise funds for re-investment. Ba is a goal machine and supreme finisher. We'd do well to get him.
