For playing against players he's 2 years older than? He's already a world cup winner and has played nearly 200 times for Valencia. This tournament ain't gonna drive his price up by any significant number. Anyone who wants him pretty much knows what he can do already!

Same here. I was convinced he's a star in the making until I talked to a couple of City fans who reckon he's good but also way overrated by fans of other teams. Would still love for us to sign him.

There is another reason. Very good players probably won't go to the likes of Bolton, Villa etc. .... so that leaves us, Arsenal, Spurs or Europe (and that last one is very unlikely). Citeh can't keep accumulating players so more than likely they'll have to do something they are reticent to do and sell to a potential rival.
