Wish he could do something about that hunched posture though. The other fella that does that in the team is Kane Lewis I think. In the recent past, there was Adam Morgan, and of course for the seniors now, Sakho. I don't know whether that affects their balance or field of vision - maybe they're not affected by it. It just looks really stiff and unnatural to me though.
16 years old too. A real prospect.

I like the look of that team, technical but quick and direct with lots of efficient pass and move. Much more purposeful than you'd normally expect from an u18s side. Dare I say it, but rather Dortmund-like.
Adam Phillips vs Cardiff U18s. Two nice assists for the game. Nearly a Xabi goal at the end of the clip.
Our U18s are now 2nd in the Barclays U18 North Division table, 4 points behind City, with 2 games to go. If nothing goes horribly wrong, we should finish in the top 4.
The top 4 teams in the division join the top 4 in the south division in the Group 1 final stage. Teams play each other once (i.e. 7 games) at this stage, and the best finisher are crowned champions.

The U21s are struggling and are in the relegation zone in Division 1. There are still many games to play though; such is the crazy scheduling that Spurs (3rd) have played 15 games, Man Utd (2nd) and Chelsea (7th) have played 10 games, while we (11th) have played 12 games. It's a mess.
What is also crazy to me, is that the U18s play more games in their league competition than the U21s. At U18 level, teams play 22 home-and-away games in the regional division and then 7 more one-legged ties, making a total of 29. At U21 level, there are just 22 home-and-away games in the division and that's it. You'd have thought that it'd logically have been the other way around.

Someone asked about Morgan a few weeks ago. Looks like things have not exactly being going well for a lad who had a spell where he just couldn't stop scoring for the yoofs.

It was three-and-a-half years ago when Adam Morgan’s beaming smile lit up Toronto’s Rogers Centre.
The young Liverpool striker from Halewood had just scored the opening goal of Brendan Rodgers’ reign during the pre-season tour of North America in front of 33,000 fans to secure a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC.
“It’s been my dream my whole life to get a goal for the first team,” he told the ECHO.
“It’s difficult to put into words what that means to me. I’m only 18 and to be away with Liverpool – the club I’ve supported my whole life – is just amazing.”
The future looked so bright for the England under-19s international, whose prolific goal scoring exploits at Academy level had led to Robbie Fowler hailing him as “one of the best finishers I’ve seen for a long time”.
Morgan was handed his debut by Rodgers against Hearts in August 2012 and two further appearances soon followed also in the Europa League.
However, that was as good as it got the frontman, who was taken off against Anzhi in Moscow and never featured for the first team again. It’s been a tale of frustration for him ever since.
After loan spells at Rotherham and Yeovil he penned a two-and-a-half year permanent deal with the latter in January 2014. But once again regular first-team football eluded him as he made a total of just six league starts for Yeovil before heading to St Johnstone on loan in August 2014.
After just one start and four substitute outings, St Johnstone cut short his stay north of the border. Back at Yeovil and down the pecking order, last summer they agreed a severance package for the final 12 months of his contract.
Morgan signed for Accrington Stanley but played just 21 minutes of football in League Two before leaving the club this week by mutual consent.
“It’s a shame for Adam that it hasn’t worked out for him here. He is a good character around the place but he wants to play football,” said manager John Coleman.
For Morgan, that balmy night in Toronto must feel like a lifetime ago. At the age of 21, there’s still time for him to kick-start his flagging career but the clock is ticking.

Guess he just needs to keep plugging if his mind is set on this as his career. He's not the only one in this position though. Michael N'goo (23) is similarly without a club now. Quite a few of the guys who pass through the doors do have a rather windy road in their career paths though. Hopefully he'll find a spot for him in the game.
Really can't understand that. He was very useful for Hearts.

Game ended with a win, 4-3. Apparently McLaughlin came on and did well.
I think he scored the equalizer to bring the game to extra time and then the winner.

Agreed, but at the same time, imagine being a "promising" reserve and the first team keeps signing strikers.
He's got Benteke, Sturridge, Origi, Ings, hell even Firmino and Balotelli ahead of him.
We might possibly sign another striker this summer as well.

The Seagulls, bottom of Barclays Under-21 Premier League Division 2, had beaten Liverpool's Merseyside neighbours Everton on penalties in the previous round.

And another shock looked on the cards when they led 3-1 in the 80th minute at Tranmere Rovers' Prenton Park but the Reds fought back to force the extra 30 minutes and Jerome Sinclair sealed a dramatic victory in extra-time.
Tom Dallison headed Brighton into an early lead but Jose Enrique quickly levelled. The Reds' defender gave away a penalty which was converted by James Tilley to restore the visitors’ lead, and he added his second just past the hour mark.
Ryan McLaughlin halved the deficit and then set up fellow substitute Sinclair to equalise with his first touch.
The pair combined again at the start of extra-time and Sinclair slotted home a dramatic winner to put Liverpool into the last four alongside West Ham United, Huddersfield Town and either Millwall or Hull City.

Our U16s' 3-4 defeat by Barcelona Cadet A in an invitational tournament in Abu Dhabi earlier this month. The kid with the nice assist for our second goal looks like Edvard Sandvik Tagseth (see: http://sixcrazyminutes.com/index.ph...eserves-and-academy.70146/page-3#post-1387727), while the scorers for us are, I believe, Reece McGinley and Okera Simmonds. We beat Hamburg 5-0 before the final.

Gomes is an exciting prospect indeed; don't think Ejaria is anything special though.
U18s' Gomes with the hat-trick, as we beat Sunderland 5-0.
Meanwhile, the U21s' Allan Rodgrigues has been called up by Brazil U20s for their training camp next month. I think we're hoping that he'll earn a U20 cap or two for Brazil to help in his work permit application. He's currently on loan at Sint-Truiden in the Belgian Jupiler League.
