So there's an empirical marker: he CAN play much, much, better than he's done for us so far. There's plenty of justification for debating why he's been so poor for us, but he's certainly not a player incapable of doing better.

Sounds like ings has made quite an impression in training.
He's been dreadful. The whole defensive set up has been poor under Rodgers and is undoubtedly more exposed than his Southampton days, but is frequent individual errors which cost us. His positioning is dreadful and he's got a terrible turning circle and acceleration. Once the ball is behind him, he's done.
Yep.Which would be ok if he read the initial danger, like Hyypia would have, but he just doesn't anticipate anything or he does and just doesn't react quick enough.
