Ref offered Sterling no protection whatsoever. Missed many fouls, and despite the Bambi skip, that was a penalty.
We're a very average club - we have no speed up front - but we're grinding out wins which is important. Don't care how ugly they are, 3 points is 3 points and we'll take it. We need to play quicker. That will help.

A home win this weekend and we've stemmed the tide of shit. Hopefully by Monday we'll end up 3 points off fourth and off the back of 3 wins on the bounce.
Rodgers has made himself look a bit of a chump by taking 12 games to revert to the obvious. Toure continues to look like our only 'organiser' at the back.

We'd be in a much better place if we had another Sterling type on the other side. Unfortunately it seems like Markovic is not going to accomplish anything this season.
If you keep saying this after every match (even when he scores!) thread, you will be right.........

Ugly victory imo, but still a victory and three more points.
Some thoughts:
* What is it with Brendan's subs? I dont' get it. They get a player sent off and we go defensive? Sterling gets subbed in the 93rd minute?
* Gerrard only seemed arsed after he scored.
* Lallana needs to improve, yeah he scored and that's all well and good but after that he more or less disappeared.
* Lucas is vital to our game. If you can't see it, then you need to fucking look again. Almost every attack starts with him.
* Sterling is running his legs off, why isn't Brendan giving him a rest. How long will this go on, use your fucking squad.
* Henderson did two things well in this game, he scored and he got Gerrard one on one with the keeper, other than that, he was just average.
* Mignolet is...we've said enough about him.
* Touré is a natural leader and is doing a good job leading our back line. Skrtel would be lost without him.

I wasn't being nice when I said that he did two things right. He was worse than both Lallana and Gerrard. But I wasn't really impressed by anyone of them, except Gerrard when he decided to get involved.
Do I have to do them one at a time or can I fit both in my mouth at the same time?

I say this a lot, but when Lallana plays, stuff happens.
Everytime I see him play for us or England he seems to create something or score. He had double figures in goals and assists in the Premier League last season, and we paid 26M for him - Why not fucking play him more often?
