Summer window looking pretty sunny

What are everyone’s opinions on Endo vs Amrabat at this point? I didn’t see United lately so don’t have an opinion.

I like Endo but if we had got Caicedo instead of Endo not only would we likely be top now but probably favourites for the title. Esp. when you take that table Binny just put up, in to consideration. It's insane how well we are doing/playing.

Played against 6 of these 9 sides (yet to face Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd), 4 of those away from home too

Maybe, then again Caicedo hasn’t really pulled up any trees at Chelsea and has cost them points already. Also he wouldn’t have been able to stop the scandalous VAR decisions.

You might be right but I am not sure how I will feel if Caicedo really did come to us for 111m. That level of extravagant belongs to the oil clubs of the world. I'm glad we kept some of our identity, the club who wins against all odds with heart and grit (instead of the £).

It’s a bit early but it’s not looking good for Caicedo at chavski at the moment. I do agree that he would’ve been a better fit at Anfield than over there but one can never tell.

Sorry but that's illogical - we made the bid, so even if it failed it's still £££ !

Haha well it is Chelsea ... and he was injured wasn't he? That said we know what he was like at Southampton so if Poch is not getting the best out of him that's likely more on them than him.

It was never a real bid, they did that show the restless fans "look we are going to spend big" - when all along they would have done the due diligence and would have known the player was never going to join us. The only good thing to come out of it was that Brighton got a bigger transfer fee and any guilt we had of getting Mac for so cheap can put us to rest. The big bid only came about when FSGOUT was the number one trending tweet only the day before. When have you ever known this ownership to go for a player and be so public about it without confirm that the player will join us ? - NEVER. It was a false bid operation.

That's my pessimistic view of it.

So Endo has shown he is working out the Liverpool DM responsibility. A really good performance against moderate opposition last night that were intent on attacking us with pace and numbers. We have both Bajcatic and Mac Allister in the squad that can play in that position too, all be it with varying degrees of comfort.

I'm not to concerned at this moment in time. Whilst I accept we have not replaced Fabs with like for like we have got acceptable levels of competence. I'm far more worried about our full back situation TBH.

For all the gloom of summer, it is looking sunny now.

4 midfielders brought in all looking settled by November. All like to pass the ball FORWARD. All work their asses off.

Well done to the recruitment team. Nailed it.
I can show you a fan who thinks we're a shambles and the transfer window is shocking.
Big Dom - Best buy of the summer
Ali Mac - Is being played as a 6, and is struggling - jury still out
Grav - was sceptical but is looking like a baller and a 8 interms pf play
Endo- I said he should come good by next year, but then saw Klopp would rather play a another player out of position than play Endo.- Jurys still out

The big +ve is we have CJ and even Elliott who fitting in and changing games, and I have been their biggest critics.

Wow, it's pretty positive really

- Replaced the midfield AND upgraded.
- Midfield looks integrated and somewhat settled
- One of the best managers in the world and he loves it here
- We allowed him to rebuild, and he has.
- Darwin looks fecking amazing (he'll always hit that post once a month when he should score).
- Three new young lads blooded
- VVD is back at solid levels
- Mo is on fire, as an assist machine
- Bajcatic still to come back
- Diogo looking good
- Gomez rising to the occasion
- Mentality Monsters is a thing again

All very positive.

That's more than fair. The yellow at LCB, is that vvd and quansah? Or someone else

What a load of conspiratorial bollocks !

Do you think we can tempt Juergen to extend again?

Stupid comment really though eh? That var incident would have never happened if we signed him. Everything would be different. Maybe better, maybe worse.

Pretty much, we don't have a left footed CB, so it's more or less a summary of both postions.
We have top class players but they're getting older. We have a very good player in Konate and decent one in Gomez. Quansah still has alot to prove imo. See it like this, are we in trouble if Van Dijk gets injured? Hence green and yellow.

We do have a back-up at DM, Endo.

That's my pessimistic view of it.

I think that's dead on. However, with any sort of good luck, that used to be easily enough, but it just isn't anymore. We will do defense next and if we do anywhere near as good a job, we'll be fine.

Well he clearly isn't unless you are happy to dismiss players who can play there regardless of the number on their back (Thiago, Bajcetic & Mac). I bet Gravenberch could play it too if push came to shove.

I'm dismissing players who haven't really played for months, and then I'm dismissing players who "can do a job" there, when we've seen that they can't do a job at the standard we need.

DWWWWWWWLWDWWW
And even that loss should have been at the very least a D if not a W.

No matter whose played there they've not let the team down. Of course we could have a 'real' DM there but who's to say we would still have performed as we have done? Maybe the reason we've done so well is because we don't have a real holding #6 (Endo aside).
