BBCSport : Martin Skrtel's two early strikes took Liverpool to 22 goals from set-pieces this season, more than any other Premier League side.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned that we scored 2 headers directly from a corner. I can't remember the last time we did so in a single match. So obviously, we've improved on this aspect, haven't we ?

Just a correction - there was only one headed goal and only one goal from a corner today (a fabulous one too). Skrtel's first goal was from a Gerrard free kick that came off Skrtel's knee / thigh.

We're attacking the ball much better and Stevie's delivery has been simply phenomenal this season.

It's interesting because outside of the first two, the rest of his deliveries were very poor IIRC.

There were a couple of free kicks which didn't beat the first man.

I think there were more good than bad setpieces from him today. Even though two of his free kicks from similar positions as the first goal didn't have the same effect, you could sense the panic in the Arsenal ranks or the anticipation amongst ours when he was shaping up for them. That was great to see.

When Suarez shaped up for his attempt in the 2nd half, they were all expecting the same curling cross instead of that audacious attempt at goal. It's like we had them conditioned to fear the worst and up strode Suarez to spring a surprise. Kudos to Szzzzzzzny for keeping his eye out for that and saving it.

Agreed re: Stevie's delivery this year.

Long may it last - though I still think Stevie should be in the box for corners. He showed against Everton what he's capable of doing in the air.

Its the free kicks that Gerrard has been immense at, you just expect him to put it in the right area, its the same feeling when Suarez is lining one up for a shot, you get the feeling something is going to happen, that never used to be the case.

Agree with prefering Gerrard in the box for corners.

Set pieces are a huge part of the game, its great to see us doing well at them.
