A really likable guy, can score some crucial goals but with his injury record, he is just too unreliable. Come summer surely he should be sold for someone less injury prone

Replacing a squad player of his quality to sit on the bench will cost a fortune. Okay if we have enough money but I’d much rather we prioritized in other positions not overcrowded like our CM.
And I want my club to take care of its players when they’re down.

I'm afraid it's turning into a Lallana situation. If he's happy having a rotation role then so be it. Hopefully it's not a serious injury cause we need him right now.

It’s what arse the arsenal fans were saying when we signed him. Good player but always injured

he is more often recovering from injury than sitting on the bench. As to us being loaded. I'm not so sure. Klopp said most of the budget in the summer went on tieing players on long term contracts at the end of which there was no money. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt out net budget is any more than £70m

Yeah let's sell a settled 26 year old as he's hitting his peak years and replace him with unknown quantities, because you know footy is always a sure thing. All young players get injured, he's been a bit unluckier than most, but let's not go crazy over a twisted ankle.

Klopp has spent 70m net in his whole tenure.

I’d call him an accident prone rather than Lallana type of injury prone. His isn’t about his muscles like hammy or thigh or back and shut like that, he didn’t get hurt during training like some. He didn’t pulled a muscle or tear a muscle while running.

The last injury was down to a tackle he made that jarred his knee, ligaments torn and had to be sidelined. If any of you ever had to go through knee surgery you would understand him more. The latest injury was again down to a tackle by the opposing player this time around. His ankle ligament might have been torn.

it would be unfair to associate him with Lallana and very unfair to think of offloading him.

He seems to spend more time injured than he does fit. How or why that happens doesn't matter.

Given the high hopes for him this year, he's been pretty disappointing. I know he's English and a nice guy n all but if we're looking for upgrades in the summer (as we should be), he's surely in the firing line.

I think we started the season with big question marks over 4 of the midfielders. Lallana, Shaq, Ox and Keita. Imo the question marks are all still there.

No point talking about Lallana, he’s gone, Shaq maybe too. Keita and Ox have kicked into form a few times in their Liverpool careers only to fall victim to injury and fade away.

Ox needs to stay fit long enough to contribute significantly to the season otherwise i think, like @Modo said earlier, its Lallana again and Klopp will plan for things without him.

Of course it matters. What, you think we should make decisions essentially because we believe a player is cursed? Certain injuries, when you watch the incident you think, well, yeah... Of course they were injured.

I'm saying in the case of Ox it doesn't matter. His injury record was dreadful at Arsenal and it has been dreadful at Liverpool.

Cursed, unlucky, injury prone... call it what you wish.

So we insist on buying him knowing he had "dreadful" injuries during his Arsenal days, and we now blaming him for not keeping himself fit even though his first injury with us was down to a tackle he did that jarred his knee and now landed on his ankle while being tackled by an opposing player should not be taken into account? Your post sounds as if he was asking for it, or that he was weak, Lallana weak.

Sturridge and Lallana pulled muscles during training, that isn't down to luck but rather muscles are way too fragile. In Oxlade-Chamberlain's case, I would give you that the knee injury he had was recurring since he had quite a few of those during his Arsenal days, but this ankle injury isn't a repeat incident. This is not muscle not build to play for our club tempo. This is an accident. It should be taken into consideration.

We called for players to be loyal to us, bitch and moan when they asked for a transfer, calling them names and chastised them. Now a player who would give his all when he wasn't injured had a bad LUCK spell, and suddenly we should be looking to offload him? Someone who doesn't come in and complain about not being a starter all the time, someone who is happy to play his part for us?

His attitude is first class, he works hard, but when it comes to injuries, bad luck follows him. It's not his fault, but nor is it the clubs. I think £40m - £50m extra in the transfer kitty is more useful than having a player who will only give you a handful of games a season.

You are expecting to sell him for £40-50m? Haven’t heard of any takers so far...

Everton paid £40m for Iwobi, we got £19m for Solanke. We paid £40m for him even though he had 6 months to run till the end of his contract. If the club is to sell him, it will be in the summer, when he is fit
