I know it's been a while since I've last updated you on some of the major talents from the Scandinavian region but wait no more, I've got a real gem for you.
*listens as the crowd goes wild*
Name: Christian Eriksen
Age: 17 (turns 18 in Feb)
Position: AM/FW
Got his debut on Martin Jol's Ajax Amsterdam-team 12 days ago in an away game against NAC Breda. He got 83 minutes under his belt and Jol has been singing his praises daily ever since.
Whenever a major attacking-minded football talent arises in Denmark the bold and often daft comparisons with the Laudrups seems inevitable. This young fella however seems to be closer to those two players in terms of talent than seen in a long while. (Our Saric is hopefully upthere as well).
His main attributes apart from his sheer determination to constantly improve himself, is said to be his technique, pace and understanding of the game. And he's actually equally equipped at shooting with both feet. A rarity these days.
I don't know whether we've ever been sniffing around but I thought I'd enlighten you anyways as it seems he could be the real thing. And then who knows, our Danish scouts seems to be well updated on the talent outthere after all so if something happens you've at least heard of him on beforehand.
A compilation of his goals on the Ajax A1 team;
Christian Eriksen (Ajax A1 Goals)
