Next manager to get the boot ?

He doesn't have that much to work with though. You're right about the Hull debacle, but alongside it there have been games where they've looked a lot better than the sorry spectacle they'd become under Martin Jol. Of course you could yet be right about Meulensteen's fate, but to me that really would be sinking to new depths of short-termism.

Hull's previous game was at home to Man Utd 2 days ago whereas Fulham had to travel to Norwich (won 2-1).
6 changes were made to the starting XI.
All the 6 goals in the Hull match came in the 2nd half.
Besides that defeat, they lost only to Man City and Everton.
Won potential 6 pointers against Aston Villa, Norwich and West Ham.
Seems to be on the right path, especially if they make the right additions this transfer window.

The league cup last season will give Laudrup that extra breathing space.
Can't see him being sacked this season.

Rodgers...

Only because everything is going so well at the moment something is bound to happen to fuck it up. .

This is Liverpool FC afterall

and those fucking jumpers. boring football, boring sartorially.

we've had a good run of playing teams who are doing shit just before their manager gets sacked

Makes a pleasant change. How often in recent years have we come up against a team which had just changed its manager and was playing above itself as a result?

Certainly a good few.

How many have we played in a shit run of form before the manager was sacked? Di Canio, Clarke, Villas-Boas, Holloway, Mackay?

Handy

Yeah something about Cortese going.

if it goes tits up we should get Shaw and Lallana somehow

Bet we end up with Jack Cork

Mauricio Pochettino was 50/1 to be the next PL manager to go this morning, he’s since been backed into 2/1 sky.me/1loko8J #SaintsFC

3. Aye, I told you so, they made a terrrrrible mistake!

Ominously, the Liebherr factory in Newport Pagnell has just exploded. Seriously. That won't put the owners in any better mood.

A girl at work was humming Achy Break Heart this morning and I couldn't place where i'd heard it recently. It's been bugging me all day but came to me on my drive home, the Cardiff fans at Anfield in December.

Just under 5 minutes of the below (a bit of research shows me the original is only 3 and a half minutes!)

“Don’t sack Mackay, Malky Mackay,
I just don’t think you understand,
Because if you sack Mackay, Malky Mackay,
You’re gonna have a riot on your hands.”

Good dedication from the fans that should be applauded
