We have the makings of a very decent front 6, with the right signings. If there is one thing we have learnt from Manure is that you can never over invest in attacking players who will get you goals.

With Sturridge, suarez and potentially Borini coming good we have enough cover for the front striker role.

It's the wide areas we need big investment. Coutinho can play anywhere, including behind the striker. Suarez can play that role too.

In terms of width, Downing is not good enough. Sterling is coming on and but probably too soon to make a big impact. We probably need TWO players to add real cover and depth to width. Who are they?

Ben Arfa (potentially reasonable price, and we have no one like him)

Anyone else out there?

Sick note arfa can Fuck off

I don't want average any more. We either invest in young established talent, or younger, developing talent.

I think there are enough in the way of good young and relatively affordable options out there that we don't have to go for someone like Ben Arfa.

Coutinho and Suarez can both do exactly what he does and more, and they do it a lot better.

Experienced young talent: eriksen, lamela, bony, maher, strootman (I know he's a bit deeper), giovinco

Are any of those realistic? Most are doubtful. Which is why we need to be sending our new scouts on fact finding missions now, if they've already not gone. Scout the udinese youth, or the ports youth.

This seems to be our tactic, at least with links in the press. The barca winger (canos?), ilori from Lisbon.

If we can't afford world class talents, we should be buying them BEFORE they're world class.

I would prefer splashing 20m+ on one great wide player (sell assadi and downing - 10m+ for both hopefully) with another 5-8m very promising young player.

Voetbal International crediting us alongside Juventus and Dortmund, with an interest in Nacer Chadli.

Sorry Binny, I gave up after 2 minutes into that clip. Lots of rubbish close up shots, slow mo, flashing, quick cutting action and not much of his performance itself. I hate him already.

I'd rather have my Lorenzo Insigne. At least that one had lots of proper action. Ha!

Chadli is good when he is not broken. De Boer has been saying how much Twente missed him and that he is one of the best players in the Eredivisie.
