He was a broken record at times but I honestly don't know why people just didn't ignore him.

Call me crazy, but I find it hard to get annoyed at anyone on an internet forum. I don't have anyone on ignore, perhaps I just don't care that much.

Except that @Bradley one, he's always getting on my nerves.

A lot of us did ignore his "contributions" for a long time before he wore us down. As others have said, he also had a taste for being inflammatory and, unfortunately, a degree of skill at doing it. The combination of these things ruined more threads than anybody else has ever come close to doing.

I actually didn't call for him to be banned, though it was 100% the right decision.
