Liverpool v Fulham - Match thread

the only way this season can be deemed as acceptable is by winning the F.A. cup on saturday.

You shouldn't, if Shelvey, Henderson and Spearing are the future of our midfield we are completely fucked.

I would not be surprised if our new DOF is given the option of giving Kenny the boot.

This is probably way over the top before a cup final, but I'm starting to think sacking him is the best. We've been outragesly shite at home, disgraceful and utter crap.

We're getting bossed by nearly every team we play at home these days.

Coates played well, he was probably the victim of trying to do too much, but that was due to the shiteness of his team mates.

Thought him, Doni and Carroll (in parts) were the only half decent players out there, and Sterlings too brief cameo.

to be fair youcan't fling a rag tag team together and expect it to perform.
we had maxi on one wing and kuyt on another in a straight 4-4-2, it was always going to be a disjointed mess.
maybe I'm looking for excuses but a midweek game in the same week as an fa cup is fucking crazy.
I feel sorry for kenny, if he had played a full side and someone got injured, people would have moaned.

Who's bossed at us home exactly? Fulham didn't exactly boss our 2nd team ... Let's not go overboard here -

I don't think Kenny should be 'fired' - let him step down if that's what is decided. But let's make sure, if he has to go, that we have a proper replacement. Another Woy like appointment will push us back even further.

Kenny's position is surely untenable, FA Cup or no FA Cup. We could end up finishing in the bottom half of the table.

This run of form has lasted for months and it's the worst I've seen in all my time as a Liverpool supporter and what's more, there appear to be no signs of improvement. No ideas as to how to change things. Nothing. Just the same tired players trying the same tired shit week in, week out. The only solution right now appears to be in the form of a cheque book and we all know how that panned out last summer.

Nah, I have no faith left.

The positives from tonight.........
I was thinking of going over for the game
Eh!

Let's use this test to determine our belief in kenny:

Before teams were announced, was anyone confident we'd win this?

This was a shocking poor performance.... No accuracy, no pace on the ball, no pace off the ball and absolutely no interest at all to stick in a foot to help the team...

Kelly, Hendo, Spearing, Shelvey, Maxi, Kuyt, Coates... What the fuck????

You can expect any team we put on the pitch this season to not perform most of the time, regardless of how established it is.

Yeah, I have to agree TBH.

Doesn't excuse the poor home performances before this though.

What made me laugh, and pretty much summed up our night, was for the last 20 minutes we hoofed constantly to no avail. Then what do we do with a minute left of injury time? Start trying to pass it from our own half.

Even if the manager is fucking up, that's just clueless beyond words, much like the two shite freekicks at the end.

What could possibly have been lost by playing Sterling? He's ready and was our most dangerous wide player when he came on. Pace, trickery and can hit a cross.

Don't think Coates looked that bad - no real protection from the center and Skittles had an average game too. I'd give him a 6, same for Jonjo.

It was mainly his positioning that worried me. Not just for the goal btw. Hopefully it's nothing though.

This game should serve as an indicator of how poor our transfers were and of course how we need to strengthen the team.
It should also show you what I guess the majority already know...that we're a one man team.
Two man team at times.

No, because again, the second string doesn't mirror the first team in any shape of form, we have no like for likes and no reasonable strength in depth. We're also being incredibly over-cautious with lads like Sterling, while Downing and co offer the fucking inevitable.
