Klopp on Mane: "It was a challenge between 2 players in the air and Sadio fell on his shoulder. It's not that serious."

Klopp: "It won't take a long time but I don't know yet whether he will be available for this weekend."

Klopp says Milner/Sturridge in full training. Lucas warming up with us, maybe today with us."

Klopp says Sakho "not far away" from return to team training

Klopp on Moreno: "If someone doesn't perform too well we talk about it in a press conference? That's cool."

Klopp "I can't be interested in criticism. Alberto played for a reason. Is the world not satisfied with our left-back?"

Klopp: "I haven't made a decision on the line up for Saturday yet. It's my job to watch who gives me what signs."

Klopp on game being switched to Turf Moor: "I'd think about it if I could change it but I can't. We knew the situation with the Main Stand."

Klopp seems a bit bemused by the questions on Moreno and asks the reporters to explain what they’re asking him.

Klopp: "There were some good signs, others not too nice (v Arsenal)."

Klopp on Lallana: "I didn't really recognise it as an issue (goal scoring). It's not something you can force."

Klopp says Jon Flanagan’s loan move to Burnley makes sense.
It was a biggest opportunity for him to play at the highest level and it was “all good for both sides.”

Klopp: "We will only take another one if it's the guy we want. Problem with transfers is no-one cares about players still here."

Klopp: "I'm sorry people aren't happy with Alberto Moreno."

Klopp on LB situation; "We have to make decisions. Best thing is to have 3 for each position. If we had found perfect fit then you'd know."

Klopp: "What I liked about that goal was that we had six players in the box. It was a perfect goal. It's about being in right positions."

By the sounds of that, he seems to not see what everyone's issue is with Moreno

He sees just fine, he's just blowing it off as managers often do... which is cool... but it's gotten to the point where it's become a "thing", so there is only so long he can continue doing that. Things need to improve.

Klopp needs another option - one whose name hopefully doesn't begin with James and end with Milner.

You'd expect him to come out and say, ya he's shit, hopefully I can replace him before the 1st Sept?

He's completely aware of the shortcomings.

It'll be Milner Saturday.

Why's he not buying a left back? I really like Klopp. I liked him before he came to Liverpool and I wouldn't swap him for another Manager in the world given the circumstances we're in under FSG etc but his gigantic blind spot regarding Moreno could very well cost us dearly this season, and if it does, Klopp will have to take full responsibility.

He's made it clear that he wants someone that will perfectly fit in with the club, system, skill set, speed, endurance and game intelligence.
He doesn't want to waste money on players he knows will be sold a year later or if it's a big-ish name, struggle to offload.
The scouting network and negotiators have been given a briefing by Klopp, no doubt about it, and if they get the perfect fit, Klopp would 100% be happy replacing Moreno.

Everything he said there as a Liverpool manager, I think was great.
I love that he's against the 'football manager' gaming style of approach. He wants to do the best he can, develop as much as he can, with what he's got. If there's something really great out there, he'll go get it. But he's not going to go around buying and selling like a dickhead in the hope he lucks out. I really like that.

I wouldn't expect that at all, but I would expect him to say "we don't have enough competition for the left back spot, we are looking at the market for any opportunities".

Fair point, however let's say we offered £7mill for Chilwell, Leicester wanted £10mill.. offer them the extra £3mill.. he's English, he's young, he's good and can provide the competition needed for that spot. We've over spent and over paid on so much shit over the years, an extra few mill should be paid to get our first choice target for that area.

Considering Chilwell played, what, 3 first team games? I don't think he was ever considered first choice but a very promising player to develop. Probably why we didn't pay over the odds. And probably why Chilwell wasn't desperate to come. I mean, if we were telling him that we would make him, a Leceister reserve, first choice left back a t Liverpool Football Club, he'd be making all sorts of noises desperate to get out.
I'm positive Klopp will have given a profile of his ideal left back to his team separate to Chilwell.
